Meant as an oasis to nurture body and spirit, this unique home is isolated yet integrated with today’s world. There is indeed something for everyone as this home offers you everything you need for your getaway - including blazing fast internet! Also near everything to explore the area's natural beauty, culture & culinary delights.

The ‘Oasis at the Nest’ is an ideal home to also explore the area's famous natural beauty, outdoor sports, culture and culinary delights. Located about
18 minutes north of the city of Mount Shasta, this is a few minutes off I-5 and is easily accessible. There is room to sleep 6 adults. This unique home is situated in a few acres for privacy and features a mezzanine (master bedroom), lower guest room, upper guest room and a pull out sofa to sleep 2 more. The upper guest room (aka twins room) is the ideal place to chill out.. watching TV, XBox or playing board games. Also, a well stocked kitchen with NutriBullet, Instapot to name a few… and most spices to cook a yummy meal to serve inside or in the outdoor area.

When not meditating, doing yoga on the deck or getting a massage, there are multiple Smart TV’s with hundreds of free streaming channels and you can bring your own accounts for Netflix, Hulu, etc. (no cable). And for those on the quieter side we also have a bookshelf with ‘Take a Book, Leave a Book’!

You have the entire house to yourself, the garage is used as a hangout place and not used for parking, but there’s lots of parking in the driveway.

Other things to note
Know Before You Book:

Winter Conditions: 4WD/AWD are required especially for the final stretch; i.e. the climb up the hill ~ half a mile. Not long -- but steep and icy. Chains are required when conditions are icy.

Snow: The property is at the top of a small hill where the road is unpaved. Winters are brutal when it snows - and there are back country skiing routes from the property itself. It is not unusual to get several feet of snow in the area. You will want to have chains (Just in case carry them) and four-wheel-drive all-wheel-drive on your vehicle to access the property. Also, please note that the bathtub and outdoor showers are turned off in the winter to avoid frozen pipes.

High winds: This home is at the top of the hill and has no protection from trees or other natural barriers. It can get really windy sometimes and wind gusts can reach 60 mph. You can check the current weather (from our very own station) by searching for KCAWEED44 at wunderground.

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy is 6 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Partying & Noise: Our relationship with our neighbors means everything to us. So, please no music on the deck or loud parties.

Onsite yoga & massage: Please contact the host directly for info.

Parking: The garage is not available for parking , as it is a game room. The driveway can easily accommodate 2-3 cars; RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited

Bed Sizes: First bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Living Room: Queen sleeper sofa. Third bedroom: 2 twin beds.

Bathrooms: Two bathrooms - one on each floor.

Showers: 4 in total (2 in the main house, 2 outdoor)

Heat Source: This home has three heat sources; mini-split, forced air (bock) and a wood-stove in the living room; firewood is not provided

Speed Limit Considerations: Road to ‘The Oasis at the Nest’: The house is located at the end of a secluded road in a ranch-like setting with unpaved roads for the last mile where speed limits are 10-15 mph.

Stairs: The main house has two levels - the entryway is paved and has a gradual incline

Fencing: The property is a few acres and is not fenced; so please keep your dogs on leash (the decks have gates on all exits) but may not be enough to secure a big dog.

Security Cameras: For the safety of guests and the home, there are three security cameras outside - facing the front of the property

Proximity to downtown Mount Shasta: about 18 minute drive.
