My friends and I had a pleasant stay at Annie's apt in the Plateau. The location and apt were perfect and a great value. Annie was very nice and accomodating (especially since we ended up arrving very late- sorry again!). I would definitely recommend her place. Thanks again!
This was our first Airbnb experience, and it went quite well, I think. Annie seems to be very easy going. Unfortunately we ended up arriving a few hours later than we anticipated, driving up from NY. She lives next door and did not seem to be perturbed by this.
The space itself is quite nice for a couple. Large bedroom, excellent very clean and well-lit bathroom, a dining area and a TV room that was great for watching World Cup games but is also large enough for yoga. There are two skylights in the apartment, which suffused the space with a lot of welcome light. Annie lives next door and is available.
The location itself is perfect. Right around the corner from Patisserie Kouign Amann for amazing croissants and quiche and very close to plenty of cafes and restaurants. We had no problem parking our car, either.
There are many cats in the area, and on the days that it rained, I'll admit that there was a faint scent of cat urine in the apartment. Yet, on the sunny days, the scent was gone. I suspect it carried in from outside. There are a couple of cute cats that like to sleep on the balcony.
Also, there was construction on our first day, so we didn't have internet access in the morning, when we really could have used it. It would have been nice to have been informed of the construction (and subsequent lack of wifi) ahead of time so that we could have planned our itinerary the night before.
All in all, however, we were very pleased with our stay at Annie's and recommend it.
We loved Annie's apartment! Quaint, cozy, functional and clean. We had no trouble finding a free parking right in front.
I am an airbnb host myself, but have opted to leave my guests privacy and communicate through texting. Annie has changed me. She made it a point to meet us to give keys, a tour of the apartment -- her personality was uplifting and endearing. It left us feeling safer, immediately that we had a friend in Montreal. She caught us leaving the apartment in the pouring rain and ran out to lend us an umbrella. Going forward I will make it a point to meet my guest touched by the good feeling that Annie gave me.
The neighborhood was wonderful loaded with restaurants and shops - the metro was 5 blocks away, an 8 minute walk.
This is a great apartment in a great location. Annie is a lovely host, very easy to deal with and quick to respond. The apartment itself is great, with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The natural light from the skylights is a real bonus. You couldn't ask for a better location with everything you need minutes away by foot and the metro close at hand. I would definitely stay here again if in Montreal.
Un charmant petit appart ou il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans un quartier super: boulangerie, restaurants, cafes, magasins, metro et bus tout pres. La communication avec Annie etait parfaite. Un accueil sans reproche. Merci, Annie!
We stayed in Annie's apartment for 4 days in March. The apartment is clean and comfortable, with everything you need! The pictures don't reflect the lovely, updated bathroom. We couldn't believe how quiet it was, for being so centrally located. Merci pour tout, Annie!
everything was great....
Vraiment très bel apt ! Annie est très gentille et nous a très bien reçus. Nous aimerion revenir mais ... pas en hiver !! Merci encore Annie et on vous envoie un peu de chaleur de chez nous ! 32°
My friend and I had an excellent visit to Montreal thanks to the accommodations provided by Annie! This space is in a great neighborhood, easy walking distance to cafes, bars, shops; and a 10 minute cab ride to other great Montreal attractions (Old Montreal, Montreal Museum of Art). Annie was easy to reach and returned communications in a timely manner. She welcomed us upon our arrival and showed us a tour of the apartment, and welcomed us to contact her with any questions or concerns during our stay. The apartment was comfortable, clean and cozy, it was a perfect home away from home. We were so happy with our experience and would stay here again!
Annie's place was great!! We loved staying there, we would have happily lived at the flat it was that good! Great comfy bed, big bathroom, good kitchen and living space and it was on a quiet street. The location was perfect too, in between Le Platue and Mile End. If we are ever in Montreal again we will definitely stay there and we will tell all our friends to stay there! Annie is lovely and told us where the good local shops are, etc. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Our best Airbnb experience without doubt!
