Located in New York’s Chinatown, on a narrow street right next to some quite popular local restaurants and hidden gems like Apotheke cocktail bar and LeBaron, I have a bright loft-style live/work space, which I redesigned to suit my personal aesthetic. The open shelf-wall are kitchen, work space and library all-in one and the floors were painted with white glossy floor paint to reflect the light, adding to the airiness of the space. It’s a simple, calm retreat that provides the time to do and think and the space to relax.
• Chinatown/ Soho border
• A few blocks from various subway lines (B, D, J, Z, N, Q, R, F, 4, 5, 6)
• Great and convenient Manhattan location. Close to plenty of exciting café’s, restaurants and galleries in Soho and Lower East Side
• One small but bright room with a full size bed (sleeps 2), lamps, art, and a small table. A closet with space to hang your clothes and store your bag.
• Open space with large table for dining and mingling. Open shelf- kitchen/ work space/ library. Bathroom with shower and small window.
• It’s a quiet, productive, and artistic environment. It’s not a party pad. The places to party are just around the corner; don’t bring the party home. No smoking. No drugs.
• Great for travelers, interns, students, or professionals temporarily in town for business.
• If you are staying for more than two weeks at a time, I will charge a security deposit, which is 35% of the daily rate, with a minimum of $500. The deposit will be returned upon inspection at check out, given that there are no damages to the property or anything belonging to the property.
I charge a cleaning fee of $40 per stay at check-in.
The apartment is clean, tasteful and comfortable. Cornelia is a wonderfully warm and welcoming host. I wholeheartedly recommend !
We had a great time at Cornelia`s apartment and with her. She was very kind and helpful if we needed something or had any questions. The location of apartment is great and the area is safe. Subway station is only few blocks away. I have nothing to complain. I hope we can stay at Cornelia`s place again in future!
Staying at Cornelia's was overall a pleasant experience. Although the apartment is still a work in progress an can be rough around the edges it is clean and functional. The building seems to have been fully renovated an feels very safe. The location in chinatown is very convinient to explore what manhattan has best to offer. Cornelia is a very friendly host. She was very helpful, nice to be around and talk with.
I stayed with Cornelia for one night while I was in NYC for an interview. I hope to have a chance to be back in the city again and I will definitely try to stay with her! Cornelia is very friendly and welcoming, as well as very organized; she provided me with great directions to her apartment and made it very simple to pick up and drop off the keys. The room she rents out is a simple, uncluttered space with a full bed with a nice firm mattress, and a window that provides lots of light in the morning to wake up to, especially against the white walls. I highly recommend her.
All in all it was a nice stay at Cornelias apartment. Cornelia is a very friendly and helpful host and provided us with a lot of information for example where to go to grab food. The apartment is in a good location and the subway stations are nearby. The bedroom was very clean and the bed is really comfortable! Of course it can be a little bit noisy in China Town but it did not disturb us that much. China Town itself is a great place where you can get good food for less money. The only small issue was that the bathroom was not as clean as expected, especially since there is a cleaning fee but in conclusion we can highly recommend the place for a short trip in NYC!
Cornelia is a wonderful hostess. She's sweet and fun to talk to and get to know. We were comfortable in her place, had no trouble finding it and were pleased with the location and convenience in terms of getting around New York. We were actually there to run the NYC Marathon and it was a great place to stay. We would highly recommend staying here!
I stayed at Cornelia's place with my son last October for 5 nights! We enjoyed it very much! Cornelia is a lovely and friendly host who can point you out to interesting places in New York. The apartment is well situated in Chinatown. A lot of interesting places on walking distance like Brooklyn bridge, Financial District and Soho. The room is rather small but we felt very welcomed to use the living room! I can really advise to stay at Cornelia's!
good location, close to subway station (canal street) and Cornelia is really nice and helpfull. However, the night is sometimes noisy because of the chinese restaurants. 5th floor without elevator (small stairs - not convenient for big luggages). We would advice this place for 1 or 2 people in a short stay.
We stayed at Cornelia's place on a Saturday night. Great host, ready to share her experience in the city and to know more about her guests.
She was very accommodating with us, we were able to let our stuffs early on the Saturday and until the Sunday night.
The bed is so comfy!! Great pillows too.
The apartment is very nice and clean. The bedroom is small but the entire apartment is spacious.
All ready to come back, we recommend that place!
We had a great stay in Cornelias place. It was fun to stay in Chinatown and we got a lot of good advices from Cornelia on where to go and what to see.
