The Charles H. Tuttle mansion – an 1899 brownstone in Manhattan’s Hamilton Heights – is best-known for its prominent role in "The Royal Tenenbaums," but, there’s more to discover at this idyllic home, which has also played an important role in New York City history.

That’s why I’m excited to invite two guests to experience its historic splendor. Booking opens at 12pm ET on May 26 for one, two-night stay beginning May 29.

*This one, two-night stay is not a contest.

The space
Hamilton Heights isn’t known for just one famous former resident – it’s also home to this storied and picturesque mansion. Developed by notable New Yorker Jacob D. Butler and designed by legendary architect Adolph Hoak, the five-story brownstone has hosted guests with recognizable surnames like LaGuardia and Parsons, and most notably was home to Charles H. Tuttle, an attorney, politician and civic activist who ran for governor against FDR.

Spanning 6,000 feet, the iconic home offers plenty of space for guests to rest and relax amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City, with formal living and dining rooms, a chef’s kitchen and a grand foyer. Special touches like original stained-glass windows, decorative woodwork, gas-operated fireplaces, and fully modernized bathrooms will let guests experience the best of both past and present.
