House in the center of Trastevere, in the silent part between Santa Cecilia and the Tiber Island. House usually inhabited by a family of 4 persons. We rent it in the moments that we are out of Rome for work. The house is on the second and top floor in a historic building in a quiet corner, and no cars. The house is 100 square meters, consists of a spacious living room, a large double bedrooms and two loft, one with a queen bed and the other with a single bed, a spacious bathroom with tub and shower and a kitchen fully equipped with a small balcony.
Accessories: hair dryer, refrigerator, dishes, kettle, washing machine, dishwasher, tv, dvd, vhs, wi-fi internet, ironing facilities, heating, bed linen, towels.
Being habitually inhabited, as I said, there are lockers with our things, even if it is our pleasure to liberate one for guests.
We accept guests with dogs paying 10 € a day more.
The house is located in one of the most beautiful historic districts of Rome, from which you can easily explore the center on foot within a few meters away there are shops, restaurants and services to suit all tastes. The Tiber is only minutes away and the summer is driven by market stalls and restaurants.
The rent ranges from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 2 weeks.
You can arrive from 10 am to 18 pm; the owner will open the house. You need to give a deposit of 200 euros which will be returned at the end of the stay. In the house smoking is severely prohibited, smoking is allowed only in the balcony. Being a small building, you must not make noise and parties after 23.

We recently stayed at Guendalina's apartment in Trestevere, Rome. We were extremely pleased with the apartment, it felt like home immediately. We were travelling with a young baby so we needed a few extra comforts, dishwasher for bottles, washing machine for inevitable spit ups, and some play space for the baby. Guendalina was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed to know, and responded very quickly to the couple questions we sent via email during our stay.
The location of the apartment was fantastic, right outside the very touristy area of Trestevere, you could feel it get quieter as we'd get closer to her apartment and it was so nice to get away from all the tourists! But then again you were only a 5 minute walk from so many good restaurants and gelato! We walked everywhere from her place, Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps -- the walks helped the baby sleep, apparently he loves being shaken up by cobblestones.
All in all, I would recommend Guendalina's place especially if you are looking for a centrally located, good sized apartment, and a quieter neighbourhood. Thanks Guendalina!
We had a great sunny week in Rome and really felt home in Guendalina´s lovely apartment. Everything was perfect - or even more.
Thank you so much Guendalina.
Lovely apartment in an excellent location. The apartment had all the facilitates that we needed. Guendalina was a charming host, although we only met her briefly. Although mentioned it's worth highlighting the street is pedestrian so you can't get a taxi right to the door, only to the end of the street. This means traffic outside is only the occasional scooter, so very peaceful for a City centre. Also worth mentioning that the 3rd bedroom in the loft (which we didn't use) is accessed via a steep open staircase so may not be suitable for the very young or old.
My son and I stayed at Guendalina's apartment for a week in early March in 2014. We cannot imagine a more wonderful place to stay in Rome---about three blocks from a main road and then up a narrow alley. It's in the center of Rome, yet feels off the beaten track because it's in the quieter section of Trastevere. Every time I stepped out the door and looked around, I couldn't believe my luck in staying in such a magical little corner of the (website hidden): Location and neighborhood: There are wonderful coffee shops, restaurants, a little convenience store and bakeries all within 100 yards. The neighborhood felt very safe.
It's not on the Rome subway, but Rome has good bus and tram service. We could walk to almost everything, but when we were tired, it was easy to use (website hidden) Maps and find the right bus/tram. Getting from Rome's Fuimicino airport to the apartment was easy--we took the local train (8 Euros a piece) to Trastevere station and switched to the #8 Tram and then walked three short blocks to her apartment.)
RE: the apartment. The photos don't do it justice. It's so comfortable, spacious and inviting. It felt big for the two of us; it could easily accommodate three or four people. There's a little balcony off the kitchen, so you can open up the doors and get fresh air. There's windows that swing open and skylights in the bedroom loft. We were there in early spring, so it never got hot. (The high was 60 degrees F.) but I imagine all the windows would be helpful in the summer .
The walls are filled with charming family photos and paintings. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is great. The wifi worked great. The bathroom is big. There's a washing machine. (But typically for Europe, no dryer).
The kitchen overlooks a school playground, so in the morning and at recess times, there was the steady roar of kids playing outside. We felt it added to the charm and life of the place. A previous reviewer mentioned the seagulls, which, like seagulls all over the world, can be loud in the morning. But they didn't bother us and anyway, if you want a quiet, serene experience, stay out of Rome! (Or stay in a sealed up modern hotel---yuck!)
Guendalina met us. She is gracious and lovely. We didn't see her again after the initial check-in. We could always call, email or message her, but we didn't need to because her apartment was perfect.
I've traveled all over the world and this is one of the best places I've ever been lucky enough to stay at. Thanks, Guendalina, for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home.
Guendalina's apartment was perfect in every way. Comfortable beds, great location for walking Rome, lovely in it's decor. Unlike some places that are only for renters, Guendalina's place has the feel of a lovingly cared for family home. Some steps to get to her place but not bad at all. Restaurants on every corner. Quaint neighborhood. Everything you could want. Some early morning street and bird noise but it all adds to the experience. Recommended for those who want to walk to all the sites.
Guendalina's apartment in Trastevere is wonderful, a real find. Centrally located, beautifully appointed with an interesting mix of private bedrooms and common areas, it is tucked away down a narrow street. I've already recommended it to others.
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week in Guendalina's beautiful home. The apartment is charming, full of character, extremely comfortable and spacious,a perfect location from which to explore the city,it is possible to reach most areas on foot.We loved the Trastevere area for dining at night, so many wonderful places to eat and such a great 'vibe'.Guendalina was a wonderful host, she explained everything very clearly and made us feel very welcome in her home.
We spent 3 nights at Guendalina's home in Trastevere / Roma. The apartment is very cosy and nicely decorated. The apartment also had a cute little balcony facing the inner yard. The location is perfect - you can walk everywhere and the area (Trastevere) is full of cute little restaurants and not so pricey as the surroundings near Pantheon / Vatican / Trevi.
There was 3 adults of us staying, and each one of us had our own bedrooms - one downstairs where the rest of the living space is (this was the best bedroom and the coolest) and two in the attic. The only thing that bothered us a bit was that the beds were slightly too hard for us.
The kitchen had all mod cons and living room TV and stereos. Wifi also worked well.
Check in was easy, we did not meet Guendalina but her daughter was there to take us in and show us around.
I would definitely recommend this place.
We spent a wonderful week at guendalina's appartment which is very lovely, quiet and warm in the best area in Roma.
It's very clean and there's everything you need to cook.
Guendalina is a very nice person.
We recommand everyone to stay at this place.
Wonderful, roomy apartment for a family of four in a brilliant location. Walked everywhere. Great restaurants and bars close by. Guendalina gave us a lovely warm welcome with some useful hints on local shops etc. Even though it was very hot in Rome and there is no aircon, the apartment remained a cool oasis to return to. There were fans, but we didn't use them much as there is a natural breeze that flows through the place as it is quite near the river (which attracts the noisy gulls). Thanks Guendalina for helping to make our stay in Rome so memorable.
