LA COCOTERAIE TARTANE, waterfront villa rocked by trade winds in the peaceful fishing village of Tartane, with calm waters protected by the coral reef, located in the heart of La Caravelle. 2 totally independent and comfortable apartments: air-conditioned rooms, equipped kitchen, swimming pool or spa. The lagoon with its islet accessible by kayak and the beach 80 m on foot or by paddleboard.
The space
You will have the exclusivity of the ground floor of the Villa: the large covered terrace, its deck, the gazebo where you can also hang the hammock, the secure infinity pool and its solar shower are the main living areas, to relax and share meals.
Inside, the sofa lounge, TV and high table, opens onto the fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher (detergent provided). 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, bathroom/shower WC complete the accommodation. At your disposal: Wi-Fi, washing machine (in the adjoining storage room), 42' connected TV, full baby cot and high chair on request, parking at the back of the villa. Kayaks and paddleboards are freely accessible but shared with T4 guests.
We have several pairs of flippers, masks and snorkels available.
We provide linens, bedding, towels, except your beach towels!

The Caravelle Peninsula, classified as a nature reserve, is a unique place in Martinique. It reveals a palette of typical landscapes that descend towards the sea and a breathtaking view. Tartane Bay, very sunny, is well ventilated, and the sea is extremely calm.
We are located in the middle of the bay, facing the pass that leads to the open sea.
From the house, you can...
Kayak or paddle in the calm waters of the lagoon to Brèche Beach.
Enjoy the large beach located 100 m away along the coastline.
Hike to Pointe Rouge and its wild beaches, Spoutourne and La Caravelle.
Surf on THE Martinique spot at Anse Bonneville (board rental possible on site).
Discover Tartane, a fishing village and seaside resort where life is good away from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
Visit the old Hardy rum distillery, the Ti-Kafé coffee roaster, the ruins of Dubuc Castle, the mangrove and swim in the treasure bay.
Or enjoy the view as close to the ocean as possible, suspended in your hammock, rocked by the trade winds while admiring the hunting of frigates and cormorants.
Other things to note
As soon as your booking is confirmed, we will send you, by email, the welcome guide with information about the house, its amenities and leisure activities.
To reconnect to the rhythm of the ocean and the tropics, you have to accept changing your landmarks and urban habits. Depending on the season, seaweed will wash up on the shore. Only sargassum is collected, the others have no smell. They have left and are used to fight against erosion. By mixing with the sand, they reinforce the coastline and prevent it from moving back. This is also global warming.

From the host
The grocery store of the Vito resort is 250 m away, the bakery is 800 m away on the waterfront, several supermarkets and a shopping mall are accessible within 10 km.
There are many restaurants in Tartane. Including Suzy, located at the entrance to the neighborhood, who prepares excellent Creole cuisine.
Right next to the house, the fishermen who make their traps during the day will be your closest neighbors. Don't hesitate to ask them if you want to eat fish or lobster.
SARGASSES: All the Caribbean islands and the American coasts are exposed to the stranding of these algae beds that proliferate on the surface off Brazil. Once stranded, they break down with a foul odor (H2S).
In Tartane, we are a little less impacted because the bay is oriented to the northeast and the city of Trinité organizes the collection within a few days.
In the event of massive sargassum strandings, we will inform you before your arrival. METEO France Martinique publishes a weekly newsletter on the risks of strandings.
