Absolutely no smoking, and no pets. As the house has been newly renovated, it is a shoes off house.
Very well maintained, clean and big house. Very near to shops and restaurants too. Allison and Tone are wonderful, explained and introduced the house to us when we arrived. They also put in extra effort to set up a playpen for our 1 year old daughter. Neighbour was very friendly. Highly recommend to everyone would who like to stay near to city. Great place.
The perfect house for us ! Our family had a wonderful time - all was very functionel and it was really as in the describtion and on the photos. Newly renovated and modern !
Parking place in front of the house, supermarkets near by - one BIO-market 5 minutes by foot !
We will really recommend this house and the very friendly welcome from Allison & Tony !
I felt a little misled when my family arrived at the house. First the house wasn't ready at 6pm when we arrived after exchanging tex's with Allison about the fact that we would be arriving at that time. Once we arrived we found out that there was a tenant living on the bottom floor of the property that wasn't listed on the rental ad. The note read he was a quiet tenant. Well the following morning my kids were woken up to his loud voice booming thru the house. You could here him talking thru the walls the whole week. The air mattress that they promoted as an extra bed was extremely uncomfortable and when I expressed that I was told well it cost us $300 as if that would make it better. They don't tell you that there is a huge renovation going on at the house right beside theirs so if the noise of the tenant wasn't enough you were blessed with construction people using there power saws at 7 in the morning. They refunded a nights fee for an apology but that doesn't make up for the annoying experience we had on our vacation. Vancouver was beautiful but the rental definitely was a huge disappointment!
By this account the universe certainly did seem to conspire against Craig during his stay with us - in fact, he was gracious enough to actually assist when a minor plumbing issue arose. But there was no misleading going on in regards to the other suite (a completely self-contained unit with its own entrance, also on AirBnB, and with a new guest as of this writing) and the air mattress provided for extra people (at no extra charge, and more like a portable bed with frame - very comfortable by most people's standards). And as clearly stated in our property description, it is an EXTRA bed in addition to the queen and two twin beds. Events external to the property such as renovations (a neighbour undertaking a small kitchen reno) would remain out of the control of even the biggest hotel chain I'm afraid. And not to be pithy, but Craig did say his party would be arriving at 6 - when we were ready for them - but their arrival time was actually closer to 5. Even so, we made sure a nice bottle of wine was awaiting them when they checked in.
As our other reviews indicate, we endeavor to provide a great place for our guests to enjoy and on the rare occasion when they do not we do what we can to remedy any problems. According to AirBnB staff we provided service above and beyond what is normally called upon in this instance; with no charge for more than two guests (Craig's party was 5) and even returning an amount equal to a night's stay. We regret Craig found his stay unsatisfactory. We certainly did our best to accommodate him.
Very cute and spacious house located in quite central Vancouver. It was close enough to the city while also being away from the bustle and crowds. The property is very well maintained and stylishly decorated. Allison did a fantastic job coordinating our experience. We wouldn't change a thing.
The place was very clean and comfortable for our family. Alison and Tony were very friendly and helpful host. There was an excellent grocery store within walking distance. We had a car and found all the sites were easily accessible from this location. This was a great home base for our stay in Vancouver.
