🧭 Northern Door County (a scenic day trip)
The postcard villages — Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay — and Peninsula State Park are a beautiful drive farther up the peninsula (roughly 45–60 min). Easy to reach and well worth a day, just good to know they're a destination rather than your backyard. Staying south means trading a little distance for a lot more quiet.
🚗 Getting Around
You'll want a car here — this is rural Door County, and the cottage sits on a private road where GPS occasionally gets confused, so we'll send exact directions before you arrive. The nearest commercial airport is in Green Bay (~50 min), an easy drive in.
