Great place that's located in a good spot. Stayed for the first half of my vacation. Loved the view from the balcony! The water situation isn't that bad. Granted you only get water for half hour at a time but it's twice a day. The neighborhood was very nice. Victor provided all amenities. Would definitely rent from him again.
This apartment in a multi-story building at the edge of Torrecilla Lagoon was a great place for my son and I to stay for a few days, use as a starting point for area trips, and just enjoy the mangrove lagoon. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the washer & dryer were very convenient. Victor invited us to use his tandem kayak for a beautiful paddle around the lagoon to Balneario de Carolina, the public beach to the northeast. Back at the apartment in the evenings the breeze on the balcony was wonderful. Victor showed us a few local eateries, including the cozy bakery down the street. Victor was a great host, and we enjoyed our stay.
The host canceled this reservation 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Victor is a great host. We enjoyed our time talking to him and getting recommendation. In fact, we were sorry why we could not get to talk more with him. The location of the place is very good and especially was an excellent choice for our first couple of days in Puerto Rico and the first night that we arrived very late from the airport. The descriptions are quite accurate. It is a small room but it is sufficient if you are planning to spend most of your time outside. There is a shortage of hot water but my impression is that this is very common in Puerto Rico and with a warm climate like that.
Overall the place and having Victor as your host is definitely recommended.
My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend at Victor's and our experience couldn't have been better! He is a dream host and made our stay truly memorable. The room is quiet and clean, and he even let us use his kayak to take out in to the lagoon behind his house where we saw a dolphin! And a beautiful, non-touristy beach is just a short kayak ride away.
Victor really goes out of his way for his guests and really makes them feel at home, from making us breakfast, showing us the best local places to eat, giving a us a tour of San Juan, to even teaching us how to play backgammon!
Victor, gracias por tu hospitalidad y por dejarnos compartir tu casa!
I arrived to Puerto Rico thinking it will be a island with nice beaches. I was wrong, this is much more than that, this is literally the paradise. I didn't account on all the warm of its people and many other beautiful places Puerto Rico has to offer. Staying with Victor was educational, he is a truly Puerto Rican with lots of knowledge about his island, someone who knows the places you want to be to enjoy the most your of your trip whether you are in a short term visit or in a long one. My wife and I stayed only 4 days in Puerto Rico but we did so many things that it feels we were there for a month. All of this, thanks to Victor. He took the time to help us plan our trip, and explained us about the history behind what we were going to see. He prepared us a incredible breakfast with cold fresh juices. He showed us many interesting books about the history of Puerto Rico and he even took us to a local restaurant where we tried local food next to nice and charm Puerto Ricans. This was exactly what I was looking for and much more. I can't thank Victor enough for his time and willing to make sure we had a great time.I am definitely going back to discover more about this little but incredible island. Thanks Victor! See you soon!
Victor is one of the best hosts I have ever stayed with in my years with Airbnb! His flat is clean, comfortable with cool art from all over the world, and he cooks you authentic Puerto Rican breakfasts. There are kayaks and bikes available on request and access to a gorgeous mangrove bay. Parking was easy to find close to the apartment. There are many stores and restaurants nearby and the location was excellent - by the airport, near the beach, bike trails, etc. Victor is a professional tour guide and I recommend you book him for a day tour of San Juan or one of his many other offerings. I rented a car and went off on my own but his guided tours of the mangrove and local beaches was unforgettable! He also had a ton of suggestions for things to do so you should discuss with him in advance. I went caving, kayaking, biking, hiking in a rainforest and visited the world's largest radio (website hidden) has a lot more to offer and can't wait to come back and stay with Victor again!
