About this listing
This apartment is located in the heart of the Vesterbro area, walking distance to everything the neighborhood has to offer, including the Meatpacking District and Tivoli.
The area is known for it's many galleries, restaurants, trendy cafés and bars and a lovely young atmosphere.
Right next to the apartment is one of the most popular parks in Vesterbro, ”Skydebanehaven”, and only a 20 minute walk away is the lovely Harbour Bath.
The apartment is on 5th floor, and the bedroom is facing the backyard, so you will not experience any noise from the street.
The apartment is in great condition and has a washing machine, cable TV, wifi and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher – all free to use free of charge.
Where you see the couch on the pictures, there is now a built-in couch, that works as a great guest bed (220x80cm). So you can easily stay 3 people in the apartment.
It is very easy to get to the apartment: It is a 7 minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station, and you will be able to take a train directly from the airport (15 minute train ride).

This flat is very well located near the trendier, newer attractions of Copehagen (Kodbyen is great for food, we went there almost every day, and Vesterbro is packed full of lovely bars and cafés and design shops) and the more touristy areas e.g. Nyhaven, Tivoli, which meant we could get everywhere we wanted to easily. Karl was a very helpful host with regards to this - as well as getting us into the flat conveniently and recommending local places to go for drinks and food, he offered me use of his bicycle (and a recommendation for a local bike hire place which was fantastic). The flat is really beautifully decorated - the yard is lovely, too - and we got a quiet sleep each night. The only downsides were a slight lack of storage space for clothes and a couple of issues with cleaning. Also, the stretch of Istedgade closer to the station is a bit dodgy after dark (we worked out from our knowledge of other capital cities that this is just what sadly happens near main train stations). That said, we didn't always feel comfortable walking through there at night and it would've been good to know the backstreets to use beforehand.
This location was perfect for our visit to Copenhagen! It's close to public transport and just minutes from the Central Station. There's nice coffee houses within walking distance and restaurants that are a short walk or a few bus stops away.
Karl and Sarah were welcoming. It felt as though some friends were sharing their house with you! Their home was clean and nicely decorated - a cozy place to come home to each night. I definitely recommend Karl and Sarah's home to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting beautiful Copenhagen!
This was a great first experience using Airbnb!
A great location and home base for exploring Copenhagen! Our primary goals were to explore the city while still fitting in some work. The internet connection was great and there was plenty of space to work. And it's easy to explore the city by foot -- Carlsberg is a fairly short walk as is the train station and access to all the other major sites in the city.
Overall, it's a comfortable place with basic features and amenities. Some rooms, like the bathroom, could have been a bit cleaner.
Karl was always very quick to respond to any inquiries and questions.
We had a great stay at Karl's place. He was out of town while we were there, but was very helpful, friendly, and responsive through text/email throughout the process. The apartment is in a great location, small, but with everything you need. It wasn't the cleanest, but that's not really Karl's fault, it was left that way by the people who checked out right before we checked in.
Parking is easy to find, yet really expensive on the street, but Karl was great about telling me where to find free parking on the outskirts of the city.
If you have kids, this is a GREAT place for you. It is 10 steps away from one of the best public playgrounds in Copenhagen. There was not a lot of clutter for my toddler to destroy, which was nice. Walking up 5 flights of stairs with a kid, a stroller and a diaper bag was not FUN, but still, the playground made it worth it.
All in all, I highly recommend this place, with or without kids!
Staying in Karl's apartment was very enjoyable .A good area to stay with many cafes and good restaurants nearby.Apartment is very easy to stay in ,clean , well equiped , great decor and very (website hidden) Danish style .
Karl is a great host , with enthusiasm to share his love of Copenhagen and to make suggestions to guests that may suit their interests .
Prompt communication and easy to deal with make this apartment highly recommended .
Thank you Karl for trusting me to care for your apartment .
I had a wonderful stay at Karl's. It is decorated with great taste, very well located, quiet and comfortable. Karl was a great host, offering me advice on the best places to go out and eat in the neighbourhood and lending me his own bike as I needed one before the nearby renting store was opening. Highly recommended. An authentic Vesterbro place!
Karls apartment is very central, I stayed here for short time. main street but very quiet, good for city trip
