A room in a two room flat in Norsborg on the red subway line, 35 min south of Stockholm. You have the room shown on the pictures, and you share bathroom and kitchen with me.

I have wireless internet access, unlimited hot water for long showers

The space

Welcome to a lgbt-friendly home to the south of Stockholm, on the red subway line. I like to have a personal home and your room will reflect that. In the bookshelves, you will find litterature on art and history, cooking and botanics and alot more. The room also relects my interest in monumental and so called socialist realist art. It does not reflect my political views :-)

Guest access

Except from your own room, you have full access to the bathroom and kithcen. If I am away travelling myself (which might happen), you have access to the whole flat.

Interaction with guests

If I am at home, then I am happy to interact with my guests.

Other things to note

This flat is my home, I live here, which means that I dont iron any towels or bedsheets. I try to keep the place nice and clean, but don´t expect hotel standard.

I never ever had any problem with house rules. I hope every guest will feel at home and treat the flat as if it was their own. It is not allowed to smoke inside, pets are not allowed, and since I also live here myself and like to sleep at night, my flat is not suitable for big parties. A glas of wine or two, or some beers in the kitchen is of course perfectly ok.

Johnny's place was great! He met me at the subway so I wouldn't get lost finding the apartment, which was really nice of him. The apartment is full of plants, which I love. It's clean and Johnny has coffee and tea for his guests. It's only a couple minute walk from the subway. I was working in the area so it was a very convenient location for me.

Johnny was not home during my stay, so his friend had to let me in. I had to wait a while before he arrived, and then he stayed for over an hour watering all the plants in the apartment. The time from Norsborg Station to Stockholm Central is not to be casually ignored; give yourself 40 minutes each way. Most importantly, the kitchen absolutely reeked from some kind of exotic spice. It was so noxious I could not keep any food in there and had to keep the kitchen door closed the entire stay. Again, I have no comment about Johnny as an in-house host; I have no reason to think he isn't a very nice person.

Response from Johnny:
Hi! I am sorry to hear that your stay was not as expected. You are right, my friend had to let you in. However, before you did the booking, you knew that I wouldnt be at home and that a friend of mine would meet you up. Yes, you had to wait a little while for him to arrive, but as I understand, you arrived earlier than the time agreed upon, and then a little waiting might happen. I appreciate, and I know that many of my guests appreciate my plants, so yes, when giving you access to your room, my friend also watered the plants in the different rooms of the flat, including the balcony. In my add, I make it very clear that my flat is "near Stockholm", not "in Stockholm", and that it takes 35 min to get from the flat to the Central Station. If you didnt take notice of the distance, I understand your disappointment. About the kitchen, I am sorry that you didnt contact me or my friend already on the first day of your stay. Neither my friend or my guests before and after you recognize your description of the smell, but thanks for letting me know, the problem was very easily solved. I anyway hope you had a pleasant stay in Stockholm, even though the accommodation wasnt the correct choice for you.

Johnny works very hard to make a stay at his place comfortable. The room itself is pretty large, so there is a lot of space. The location is safe and close to the public transit, but it may be a bit far for those who do not want to have a 40ish minute commute. Otherwise, I recommend staying here!

Lovely place to stay. The bed was comfortable and the space quiet. Johnny the host was fantastic to talk with and had great recommendations (and even shared his pancakes with me!). The location is within a few minute walk to the metro and 35 minutes or so to downtown. All in all a great stay with an exceptional host. Thank you Johnny!

My experience at Johnny's place was remarkable! the hospitality he displayed was wonderful! he's super sweet and extremely helpful, I know for sure if it weren't for his clear suggestions on how to make it to the airport, I would've never made it on time. His flat is conveniently located a short walk away from the station, and must I say that the flat is really really pretty. He has beautiful plants scattered all around which is just utterly lovely! transportation to the city and airport is not a hassle at all! All in all, Johnny is an amazing host! I highly recommended his place, I cannot wait to go back!

Professionally I am a freelancing tour guide, photographer and translator. I also write myself and I normally work from my home office.

My master thesis is however in Russian cultural history and how the ancient artform of mosaic was used as means of creating a political, pictorial language in the Soviet Union. Sometimes I can use that knowledge in my work. ;-)

I enjoy traveling the world, both as a tourist/traveler myself, but also bringing with me visitors to countries and cultures far away from Scandinavia. At the moment, I have visited about 100 countries and territories of the world.

At home Stockholm, I have an interest in food, from traditional Scandinavian cooking to Korean cuisine and I enjoy making fruitwine and fermenting vegetables. I am trying to improve my skills on piano and song.

Please contact me if you have any questions at all, either regarding me, my business or my homestay.
