Amy's place was beautiful, I would love to stay here again. The place is extremely clean with all the amenities you would need. Everything is a quick walk away and Amy was an amazing host who responded quick to all my emails. Overall, had the best experience and can't wait to come back.
Victoria Square was perfect for our visit to San Diego for our daughter's wedding. Had everything we needed. Great market 1 block away, Starbucks 4 blocks away, convenient to Gaslamp and Little Italy. Gated complex is secure. Parking (a potential problem in downtown SD) was no problem at all. All of our children, the groom, and his parents gathered at our place one evening - they were envious!
Had a great stay. Getting settled at the place was very easy and the location was excellent. Listing was accurate and apartment was very clean. Communication with the host was great and Amy was very accommodating. Highly recommended! Thanks!
We recently spent two nights in unit #218 at Victoria Square and were very pleased! The location was fabulous - close to Little Italy, the Gaslamp District, the waterfront and light rail line. With two bedrooms and the pull-out couch, we had no trouble sleeping four. The unit was well appointed and we appreciated having a washer/dryer to use. It was fun to stay in a historic building which had a lot of character. Parking was pretty easy, but be sure to read the street signs as there are varying restrictions throughout the week. Overall, I give this property a high recommendation and would stay there again on my next trip to San Diego.
The place was everything we could ask for! Worked out great for our Valentine's Day weekend away in San Diego!
The apartment was absolutely adorable and in a great location--so easy to walk to Gaslamp and Little Italy, or to walk to the trolley. Would absolutely recommend this place and very much enjoyed our stay!
Pros: Cute decor, comfortable beds, soft sheets, having a thermostat, hotel-sized toiletries provided, clear instructions for accessing the location, quiet (while we were there, anyway), clean (except a previous guest had left soda in the freezer?).
Cons: Parking is a nightmare (No street parking 3-6 AM Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, weird times available in the paid lot across the street, didn't know until we got there that we could have seen about renting a space from Amy to park in), minor kitchen issues (Fair number of cooking supplies, but not a single spatula? Didn't realize there were coffee filters available until our second day there because they were disguised as a basket for the coffee creamers).
Unusual problem: I submitted a message with a question to Amy regarding my stay along with my credit card information/the reservation request. The question was about arriving late on a particular night, and if that would be a problem. I was told it wasn't a problem, and my reservation was confirmed. The problem was that I had accidentally selected the reservation as being for the day *after* I was going to arrive. The room was not available the night of my arrival, so I couldn't tack on an extra day. I was lucky I noticed it as soon as my reservation was confirmed, or I would have been without a place entirely. As it was, I had to book a hotel room in another part of San Diego for the night I arrived and transfer my things the next day. While I clearly made a mistake and accept responsibility for that, I was very frustrated that my reservation was confirmed when I was specifically asking about a day that my reservation wouldn't have been set for. A quick message from Amy to me would have revealed the error quickly, and saved me a lot of grief.
