1 Bedroom Apartment cottage type. Almost new (built summer 2012). Private entry, bath, full kitchen with a refrigerator. 10 min to Stanford. Palo Alto Midtown. One queen size bed, large TV, internet, no closet, but furniture to store clothes. Separate dining room. High quality mattress with protective cover (no bed bugs). The cottage is attached with the main house (shares one common wall with the main house). The noise level in the cottage has to be low.
The cottage is adjasent to the main house, so it is desirable not to make any loud noise in the cottage.
My wife and I had the most pleasurable stay at Helen's place. We stayed there for a total of 4 months and we wish our stay could have been longer. It was extremely comfortable, clean and perfect for our needs. Helen was an amazing host. She was quick to respond to our questions and needs. The cottage was in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, close to a grocery store and near the bus stop into downtown Palo Alto. We rarely heard any noise from her side of the house. On the rare occasion when her family had a party, she would notify us beforehand (even asking us if it was ok). Couldn't ask for much more from a host!
Helen was responsive and pleasant. I stayed here for an overnight and found the place clean, comfortable and relatively spacious on an attractive and very quiet residential street with plenty of parking. The cottage has a private entrance but shares a wall and door (locked) with the owner's home so I periodically heard a low volume of activity or talking next door, but I didn't find it disturbing. The cottage includes a hot plate for cooking, a nice counter top and a small refrigerator, and a dining table and some basic utensils, etc.
