This listing is for a loft style flat in central London - Zone 1. Closest tube station is Southwark (Jubilee line) -3 min walk.
The flat is spacious and light with one large semi- open space and a separate bedroom. The flat is 2 bedroom, however the part of the wall was removed between second bedroom and lounge area to increase sense of space and light. The flat has a balcony with fantastic city views. Wooden floors throughout, Airport, wireless internet, TV.
There is a bedroom with double bed facing east with views towards Shard -tallest building in London and the other bedroom - facing west- is conjoined with a living area and kitchen to maximize the space and light. Therefore the current layout would suit 2 people sharing the bedroom, however there is enough space to accommodate more people using the sofa in the 2nd room. I also have room screens to create your own layout.
Location is great, 5 min walk to Tate Modern, close to Waterloo, Bankside, London Bridge and Borough market. Museums, galleries, coffee shops (Monmouth is my favorite), cinema - British film institute, theater -Old and Young Vic as well as National theater, independent bookshops, food markets, Borough market on thursday, fridays and Saturdays. you name it, abundance of cultural venues. And i can give you tips where to go and what to see.
Barclays bikes are just around the corner and available for £2 a day or weekly membership. 15 min cycling to Covent Garden, Soho, 20 min to Clerkenwell and shoreditch.
You can get a daily, weekly or monthly membership at the local gym - Bankside Gym.
I also let out a room within the apartment when I am there, so please see my other listing if you are looking for just one room.
Please note the flat is on 4th floor and there is no lift.

Nina kindly took a really last minute booking to accommodate some friends that couldn't stay with me. Her flat is beautiful and well located. She was really flexible and helpful about check in. Highly recommended! Thanks Nina.
New comers on Airbnb, we looked for an empty flat to rent for a one-month last minute business trip to London. Southwark was a perfect area to avoid taking the tube. A flat as a family, would be better than a hotel room for a month. So we chose Nino's which was described as a two-bedroom flat in her listing. The flat is well lit, well located, minimalistically furnished (which leaves more space) but only has one bedroom with one double bed. The other rooms are a kitchen and an adjoined living room with a armchair, not a bed, plus a small bathroom/WC ( very noisy ventilation). Nice flat depite the absence of curtains or shutters in the living-room (lack of intimacy especially at night) and the noise from the Jubilee line trains that pass and stop just below the living-room blacony every 5 minutes. The bedroom is quiet though.
We would have apreciated a more precise description : the second bedroom would have been useful for our child.
Moreover, the flat is located on the 4th floor (about 90 steps), no lift. We told Nino we were coming with a baby but she did not warn us about the 4 storeys on the booking day, instead she demanded extra money in cash for the deposit and for potential energy consumption (laundries for our baby)! All that was refused to her by Airbnb customer service, as well as keeping the amount of a second cleaning fee double charged to us while she refused to come and clean the flat once during our one month stay. It was refunded to us. She made our stay stressful with her constant asking to stop by, having been unpleasant to us from the start. Indeed we let her pop in twice including once, unannounced on a Sunday morning, which I did not appreciate. That Sunday, after coming in, she blamed us for not replying to an email she had sent a few hours before about her urgent 'poping in'. I was considered by the host exptremely uncooperative because obviously, afterwards I refused that she come back a third time for her stuff and I was supported by customer service. After all we rented the whole flat for a month and we wanted to feel at home. If it was so complicated for the host to find alternative accommodation and to take her stuff at once, why not decline our offer in the first place! We never thought the host lived in the flat when we booked it ; otherwise we would have thought about it twice. We left it cleaner than we found it.
Nathalie had 2 reservations as you can see from 2 feedbacks she left.
She could have easily cancelled the second reservation if the flat didn't meet her requirements!
The photos on the listing clearly show layout and the listing states only one double bed. As for deposit I only wanted to raise this as I gave nathalie a discount - she only paid fee for 1 person not 3.
She was welcomed warmly, as all my guests, and we even arranged a tea meeting. The flat was left relatively clean, but this is not unusual, most guests leave the flat in good order.
Nina was a lovely host. Very helpful and extremely accomodating. Thanks!
We had a wonderful stay at Nino's flat. It's spacious, very clean and a great location to visit all the best sites, especially the Tate Modern. Nino was very gracious and helpful with local recommendations.
Still a very good apartment with a fantastic host.
I realised that I am becoming a frequent visitor to NIno*s appartment. Nice and clean and space for my yoga mat as always. Highly recommandable as always.
Great flat in a great location walking distance to the Tate, Waterloo and St Paul's. Niño was very helpful and the flat was clean and tidy. Thanks
Nino was a great host. She welcomed me personally to make sure I know the things I need to know to live there for a little while. The appartment was clean, very bright and I had a lot of space to place my things there. It was perfectly located for me. Just 600m from Blackfriars Bridge. When I am in London I will call again. Thanks for perfect communication as well.
Absolutely a great flat and a wonderful place to stay. Would stay here again and recommend it to friends without hesitation!
This flat is in a GREAT location, just a few blocks to the Southwark tube station which is on the Jubilee line. Also easy walking distance from the Tate Modern, Shakepeare's Globe Theater, and Borough Market. The view is incredible - the London Eye from one window and the Shard from another. It's simply furnished but had everything we needed and since this is Nino's own flat, it was nice to get a tour when we arrived showing us where everything was and telling us about any little quirks about the place that we should be aware of.
Note that this flat is on the 4th (top) floor and has quite a few stairs to climb! There also isn't a couch or much lounge space so keep that in mind if it's something you're looking for. A microwave and a hairdryer are other small conveniences that you may also want to note aren't in the flat.
