in the heart of east lakeview, this one bed room apartment is perfect for a couple or a group of friends wanting to feel what it's like to live in the good ol' city of chicago. the lake is less than a block away, along with a charming lake path. bars, restaurants, coffee shops, public transportation (buses to downtown are steps away & the red/brown line trains are a 15 minute walk west) and more - all within walking distance. can't beat this location!
a few other notes...
all guests will have fresh linens and towels. also, anything in the fridge/kitchen is fair game. i don't keep coffee in the house, but there is a great local place at the end of the street, or there is caribou and starbucks too if you want to keep to what you know. there's a gas grill on the patio. laundry in the basement of the building which requires quarters. cable tv with HBO in case you just want a night in or need some downtime. there's an AC unit in the living room. the bedroom gets a great cross breeze with the windows open and the ceiling fan going. wifi is, of course, available too. i'll leave you the password. there's a full bed, couch and queen size air mattress available.
street parking is available, but not the easiest in this area - especially if you arrive after 6pm. i will provide passes, but i do suggest parking and leaving your car there for the duration of your trip. the CTA is very reliable, easy to navigate and safe.
if this is your first time in town, i'm more than happy to share my favorite sights and bites. i've been here for 8+ years and simply adore this town. just let me know what you're interested in and i'm sure i'll be able to recommend some things you can't miss :)
Angie's apartment is in the perfect location for a weekend getaway, and is walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and bars in Lakeview. The apartment was clean and inviting, and she was great at communicating details so we had no issues during our stay. Highly recommended!
Angie was a great host! Communication was easy and she always responded promptly. Her apartment is lovely - very clean and homey feeling. The apartment is in a good location, near both the lake and not far from Wrigley Field. The one downside (and this was not that big of a deal) was that street parking in that neighborhood was very difficult, but there was a public parking garage a few blocks away (albeit a bit pricey). I would definitely recommend Angie's listing to a friend!
We had such a great time! Angie was wonderful - she quickly responded to all of our questions in such a friendly and helpful way. Though she was away, she made arrangements for us to easily pick up our keys at a local coffee shop, gave me a great suggestion for a local bookstore, and just generally ensured that we had everything we needed.
The place was clean, comfortable, and looked exactly as listed. The street was quiet but situated in a lovely little neighborhood with restaurants and coffee shops. I only wish we had more time to explore. A really great experience for my first time using Airbnb!
Angie was very responsive and our stay was wonderful. Everything was as advertised. This was a prime location!
Angie accurately represents her place. It was very spacious for our needs, there were three of us. She's right about parking, a little challenging, but nothing that cannot be cured with patience. We took the train and bus first day in town, which worked out for us. The number one plus of renting from Angie is her responsiveness. Very prompt!! She answered all questions in a timely fashion and even gave us restaurant suggestions, great options. I definitely put her place on my favorites list.
We had a great time at Angie's place. Everyone went as planned to get they keys, the location was great and the place looked exactly like the pictures. As Angie promised, we loved the location, walked all over and had a wonderful time! Would definitely stay there again!
Angie was very accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout our entire stay. Her place was very clean and had great security.
