Large single room with a lovely daybed that turns into a spacious double by night. Perfect for couple, pair of friends or single traveller looking for a base to explore London. Located in Leytonstone (East London) on the Central Line (tube) which takes you to central London & West End in 25 minutes. The underground also runs 24 hours a day over the weekend! The apartment is a cosy and stylish place to stay and relax after a busy day in London and has fully fitted kitchen and all mod-cons.

The space

This is a stylish, beautifully furnished, bijou room in a lovely Victorian apartment closely linked to the major hotspots in London . The room is a single with bed that can either be pulled out as a double or folded back into a single giving more room to spread out. It's a lovely space for a single traveller or someone setting up in London for work. The room is furnished with a lovely comfy bed, bedside lamp and hooks to hang your clothes and pull out drawers in the bed.

As this is also my home I make sure it is comfortable and homely and you enjoy all the comforts of a home from home. There's also a sunny, south-facing garden to relax and enjoy during the warmer months.

The apartment is fantastically located for all conveniences and transport and takes just 20-25 minutes to get into the West End by tube (underground). The station is Leytonstone and is in Zone 3. By London standards this is still relatively central and the speedy Central line links up to all the major London hotspots such as London's West End, the Olympic Village and the huge Westfield Shopping centre (10 minutes away in Stratford), Liverpool Street, St Pauls and the City are all 15 minutes away on the same line and the Millenium Bridge opposite St. Paul's Cathedral will take you to the South Bank directly to the famous Tate Modern. You couldn't be better placed to explore London.

My apartment is set in a lovely, peaceful and safe part of East London in a tree-lined Victorian avenue, five minutes from a 24 hour supermarket, tube and the overground stations and also night buses going in and out of London throughout the night until the tube starts. No need to pay for expensive taxis travelling around as there are many ways to get around the different parts of London. The following amenities are included:

Fresh bed linen and towels
Cosy living room with TV and lots of books
Broadband Wifi
Kitchen facilities
Washing Machine
Oven and hob
Shower and Bath
Tea and coffee included
South facing garden with seating area
Free off road parking space

This apartment will suit tourists and business travellers alike being so well-connected to the City and the West End as well as having links to all the major airports. Stansted Airport is very close and can be reached by coach within an hour. Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton are also easily reachable via the fantastic train and tube links.

You will be made very welcome and enjoy all the comforts of a home from home. Whilst you will have your privacy and space to enjoy your stay here I'll also be on hand to answer any questions you have and provide advice and tips on your stay here in London., Drop me a line if you have any questions or would like to discuss a booking .

Great host! She was very nice and willing to help. Wouldn't recommend this location since it's shared, owner lives right next door and it's very small. Bathroom is also very old so it seems not so clean.

Response from Lesley:
Hi Avni, Thanks for your comments. I agree it's an old (vintage) bathroom in a Victorian house that is about to be updated. It is kept scrupulously clean and is fully functioning. Leytonstone is in zone 3 and right on the Central Line- 30 minutes from the West End, 15 minutes from the Olympic City at Stratford and 20 minutes from St Paul's Cathedral and the Tate Modern. The tube (subway) runs 24 hours at weekends. I hope future bookers look at other reviews which mention the fantastic location, safe area and great transport links. London is huge ! :)

Lesley is a perfect host and sent me the most meticulously accurate joining instructions - which were a great help. The flat is situated very close to the central line with quick access to the City of London and the West End. Lesley was most considerate and helpful. I found her a model host and I am planning to book the accommodation again (if free) when I next visit London. Highly recommended

Cute flat in a residential area. The walk to the Leytonstone tube station is a 5-minute walk and the ride into the city takes about 25 minutes. Tescos within walking distance! The room was small but that was exactly as expected. All shared spaces were clean and homely. Lesley was very accommodating and kind. We enjoyed chats with her. I will happily stay with Lesley again next time I am in London, no doubt about it!

The place is a little outside of london, but near the underground station so you get fast to the center. It is a really nice apartment with everything you need, and Lesley helps you with all the questions you have. There is a big 24h store just 5 min walk away and the neighbourhood is really peaceful. So we can just recommend it!

Hi Natalie. Thanks for your feedback and it was lovely to meet you. I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay. I think you meant to say "it's a little outside Central London" Just to clarify for future guests that the apartment is definitely in London! It is in a London suburb called Leytonstone which is in zone 3 (London zones are 1-6). Thanks !

I needed to find a place to stay for a short time quickly and Lesley was prompt in communicating. The flat has a great kitchen/lounge space and is well equipped. The room is cosy and comfortable and great value. It is also easy to get to the rest of London from the tube close by and the local area is lively and interesting. Recommended if you want to experience an interesting part of London

I'm friendly and outgoing and everyone who comes to stay in my home gets a warm welcome. I speak French and Spanish and like to practise whenever I can. Living in London I get to indulge my interests in culture, world cinema and the arts and there's always something new and interesting to see in such a great city.
