This little home in Sandymount was just what my mom and I were looking for in our first week in Dublin! The room was spacious enough for the two of us and it was just how it was described online. The neighborhood was so quiet and cute, but it's not even a whole 20 minute walk away from city centre. It's also very close to a few local pubs and cafes. All in all, our stay at Norah's was perfect and if we ever need to airbnb a place in Dublin again, we'll most definitely be back here! :)
We didn't get to meet Norah but our email exchanges were very friendly. She was very quick to sort out a problem that arrose. Her house is conveniently located, close to the sea (where people jog and work out) also within walking distance from the city center.
We had a fantastic stay at Norah's! She welcomed us with a drink and some toast and jam. We chatted for a little and then since it was late we headed off to sleep. Norah was very nice and had a lot of information available for us about tours and sights to see. She also had information about which buses to take, how long it would take to walk various places, and all kinds of useful information.
The room was spacious and comfortable and Norah's house was very homey and inviting. She supplied a variety of breakfast foods and said if there was anything we wanted in particular to just let her know. There are two full bathrooms and we were able to use the kitchen. The house is a short walk into the village which was charming and where we spent some time in a few of the shops.
Norah is highly accommodating and I would recommend her to anyone! If I am ever back in that area, I will definitely stay at Norah's again.
Spacious is right - a comfy bed and lots of room to fit two people comfortably. Lots of natural light in the room and the bathroom.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Norah, but her friend Audrey let us in and made sure we had everything we needed.
Finally, having a selection of breakfast cereals and tea right at hand was greatly appreciated, especially considering we spent long days trekking around Dublin.
Norah was a very friendly host, also very helpful, providing us with maps and information.
Everything in the house was nice and clean. Our room was really quite spacious.
Norah was a great host! She was very easygoing and welcoming, but also respected our privacy and was very professional and helpful, providing us with great tips, maps and information, and also with home made soda bread in the morning! She is also an avid traveller and an interesting person with many stories to share.
The room was clean and cosy, quite large, nicely decorated and quiet!
The location is perfect - really close to the city center (40 min walking and 10 min by train) in a neighbourhood filled with quiet red brick-flower pot private houses and a river with a group of swans living in it.
MUCH better than staying in the city center! Highly recommended.
This was really a nice stay at Norahs house. Everything was perfect. Nothing to complain. Good english breakfast, central located, very good bed. And Norah has some interesting things to say and some good stories. I am shure, if I come back to Dubin I will stay at Norahs house again.
