Interaction with Guests
At the check-in and at all times my guests need I can meet them. I live just 15 minutes distance so I´m very close to them.
Rossio is one of the most beautiful squares in Lisbon. It's not just the beauty of its monuments and its fountains or its fascinating history, Rossio is considered a living book.
Recently renovated, it has not lost its mysticism. Feel it in the D. Maria II National Theatre, in the fountains used in early October to baptize the university‘s freshmen, in the cafes once frequented by portuguese personalities and in the roasted chestnuts that are sold in the square since many, many years ago.
In the middle of the square there's a statue of Dom Pedro IV and at his feet four female figures representing Justice, Wisdom, Strength and Temperance, qualities attributed to Dom Pedro.
The square at the beginning known as 'Praça D. Pedro IV', became known as Rossio among locals and remains a traditional meeting place not only for the people of Lisbon (alfacinhas), but also for all who visit the city.
Being a diverse trade area, make sure you lose yourself in the several streets that start from Rossio Square and enjoy the view from the top of the Santa Justa Elevator or the Arch from Rua Augusta to enjoy the panoramic view of the neighborhood.
My apartment is quite close to several public transports, such as Metro Stations (Rossio or Baixa Chiado), Rossio Train Station (to go to Sintra), the bus stops in Rossio Square or in the parallel streets, as well as the 28 Tram.
There are several car parks near Rua dos Sapateiros. Price and location can be found on the website or application of Parkopedia.
Boats to the South Bank are about 15 minutes away (from both stations of Terreiro do Paço and Cais do Sodre).
Beaches are just 25 minutes away (like Costa da Caparica and Cascais / Estoril).
