Pet friendly Creekside Cabin in Landisburg, PA. 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. Down a lane along the creek in the peaceful mountains. Nice getaway with lots of nearby outdoor activities! Hiking nearby at Colonel Denning State Park, Audubon Hawk Watch, Opossum Lake and Little Buffalo State Park. Outdoor fire pit next to the creek and propane fire pit on the back porch for rainy days. PLEASE NOTE - the cabin is in the woods, you will encounter bugs and animals.

The space
Open floor concept, 2 out of the 3 bedrooms in the loft, overlooking the first floor. Master bedroom on the first floor features a queen bed connected to the new full bathroom, and directly next to the other full bathroom. First bedroom upstairs on the right features one double bed and one single bed. Second bedroom upstairs on the right features one queen bed and access to the back porch. Large open kitchen, large front and back porch. Back porch is accessed through the second bedroom upstairs. Outdoor fire pit near the creek. Propane fire pit on the back porch for chilly days/nights. Horseshoe pit, cornhole boards, indoor games. Comfortably sleeps 6-7 in beds and 2 on the pull out couch. Handicap accessible ramp entrance on the side of the cabin. The master bedroom is also handicap accessible, but stairs are required for the other bedrooms. Bathtub is not handicap accessible.

Other things to note
We are dog friendly *at an additional cost.* They must be listed on your reservation. If they are not and you bring a pet, the fee will be $100. NO CATS ALLOWED.

We have a camera on the front porch for security reasons.

Your idea of ‘private’ may vary from ours. There is only one house in eyesight (we have only seen this older couple outside a handful of times over a few years), and the road is across the creek from the cabin, with only about 50 cars traveling by each day. If this does not fit your definition of private, this may not be the place for you, but we come here to disconnect and get away from our neighborhood.

This cabin is in the middle of the woods at the bottom of a mountain. You will encounter bugs and animals. If you do not like bugs, bring bug spray. We have our property treated for bugs multiple times each year, but that does not stop them entirely.

The cornhole boards are in the storage area under the back porch. Access from the parking area and put them back after using them.

Along with Colonel Denning State Park and Waggoner’s Gap Hawk Watch being close by, Little Buffalo State Park is also only a 30 minute drive. Little Buffalo features a public pool. Please see their website for details. Opossum Lake is a 30 minute drive. It is a 40+ acre lake with a 4 mile loop trail around if.

If you like dirt track racing, Port Royal Speedway is 37 minutes away.

Carlisle Fairgrounds are 30 minutes away for car shows and events. 30 minutes from downtown Carlisle where you can go on a self-guided tour of 7 different micro breweries/cidery/distilleries. We have info available for that if you are interested. Carlisle is also home to the Lindt Chocolate Factory!

Hershey, PA is about an hour drive to the famous Hersheypark and Hershey’s Chocolate World.

Historic Gettysburg is also about an hour drive where you can explore the battlefields.
