Welcome to your cozy guest suite in the rockies! Our home sits at 8,400 ft, ten miles east of the continental divide. We are surrounded by Roosevelt and Arapaho National Forests with endless outdoor activities as close as steps away. The gem of a town Nederland is a 10 min drive north, Black Hawk is 20 mins south. You will have full access to our forested back yard and hot tub! Enjoy views of the Continental Divide from your bedroom. Rest easy after your adventures in the coziest king bed.
The space
Your space will include a detached guest bedroom, a private guest bathroom, a spacious secluded patio and access to the hot tub. In addition you are welcome to roam our forested yard with nearly an acre of space! We do allow animals, however you must tell us before you arrive. Also, outside of your Airbnb private fenced area dogs must always remain on a leash. Hot tub is located 40ft from your private room up cement stairs, just a small walk across on our property. HOT TUB IS NOT right outside your BNB but closer to main house just a small walk in front on property. You will have complete privacy and never be interrupted or disturbed during hot tub time. You have a BBQ grill on your patio! ENJOY!

Our property is accessible directly from Highway 119. In the front there are 4 parking spots, 2 of them are available for you to use. You’ll be able to use area with the hot tub and layout chairs. The entire yard with tire swing and space to run around and play/or lounge and hammock.
During your stay
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible! If you would like to interact we are usually home and available to chat anytime or answer any questions! We’re a very down to earth couple and love making your experience unique and special for you! If you have a friendly pet and would like to have them meet our Big Bernie Boy 2 year old Greater Swiss, let us know! Other than that dogs will never see each other or interface during your stay.
Other things to note
We have a mountain septic system that can only handle human waste and toilet paper. We ask that you dispose of all trash and feminine products in the trash.
Please do not leave any trace, please clean up your trash, animal waste, and show respect to the forest and our home. Also, upon request we can wash and dry clothing if needed. We also offer for rock climbers two crash pads for bouldering and poles for hiking. For the longer stays, we offer to do your laundry for you if needed, just message us! Whatever makes life easier for you, we will do!

From the host
Our home and property are surrounded by nature. Our neighbors are spread out leading to a very quiet mountain atmosphere. While we have a Black Hawk address, Nederland is even closer (10 minutes) and we are 30 minutes from Boulder. If you download the app AllTrials you’ll find tons of hikes in our surrounding area! Heads up that there isn’t much service in between towns, so keep GPS. There is also no delivery food, or delivery apps that are available in this area unfortunately.

Hello everyone, I’m Alex. I was born and raised in AZ but have been in Colorado since 2016. I can't spend enough time outdoors and am constantly nerding out on cool rocks. I go mining for smoky quartz and other gems here in Colorado and also practice lapidary. I am beyond grateful to live in this beautiful nook of the rockies.
