  • I had a truly wonderful holiday. The apartment is lovely, clean and is accurate to the pictures and description. The area is very quiet and calm. Angela is so sweet, friendly and incredibly accommodating. A true darling! I can definitely recommend the apartment and would love to return.

  • I liked the flat very much: it is very beautiful and clean. Location is also good: very close to Vatican. The only minus – WI FI did not work properly sometimes. Everything else was perfect. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time in Rome!

  • We had four great days in Rome. The flat is more than nice. After breakfast on the sunny terrace start your day with a walk down Via Gregorio. You´ll pass a fine market with fruit and vegetables as good as at Campo dei Fiori. There are several cafes and there´s always a warm welcome. If you like: try to speak a little Italian. Nobody worries, whether it´s perfect. After ten minutes walk St.Peters appears on the left side. Thats what I suggest to everyone: just start walking and discover Rome by your own way. And good to know if your feet get tired - the prize for taxi-driving is rather ok. (for example: Colosseum back to the flat = 13 Euros)
And after a busy day as tourists in the big town, we enjoyed the silence in the appartment. And slept very well ;-)
All in all - I hope to come back someday and to book this appartment again.
Thanks a lot to Jimmy and Angela

  • My wife and I had a very pleasant stay in this flat. It was exactly what we were looking for:

    - Extremely quiet (residential area, 5th floor, almost a dead-end street next to a small street).

    - Very bright (South orientated, terrace overlooking the Gianicolo hills, just magic when we had breakfast on the terrace, sun-bathing despite being in December).

    - Surrounded by local people, not hordes of tourists, but were only 10-15 min walk from the Vatican (or less when we took one of the numerous buses stopping at the corner).

    - Watching the new year's eve fireworks from the terrace was terrific.

    - Inside, the flat is really what you see on pictures (a slightly "old fashioned" decoration maybe, but we didn't care, as the flat was comfortable and spacious with large volumes under the roof).

    - No bath, but a shower that can easily fit 4 adults !

    - WIFI internet and TV were fine when we were there.

    - Central heating means specific heating periods during the day. One cannot turn the flat into a giant private spa, but it's ok.

    - Easy going people : the flat manager was there for us at midnight when we arrived from the airport (+20€, as agreed beforehand), took time to explain a few things, a bit in French and a bit in English. Of course it helps if you speak Italian, as usual... Flat was decently clean overall. For a reasonable cleaning from our part, we didn't have to pay the 50€ cleaning charge at the end, so I guess everyone wins. Also, they allowed us to stay a bit longer on the day we left as no one was expected after us, which we found was rather nice.

In conclusion, we had a VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE and would not hesitate to come back to this place.

Many thanks to Jimmy and Angela. E buon anno !

  • The apartement had everything we (website hidden) was cleen and delicate, whith comfortable beds. Not hip and modern, but nice furnished. Good location and a very nice terrace for a good breakfast and late nights whith wine in the moonlight. Louisa met us at the apartement when we arrived, and gave valuable informatione about the city and different buslines. First time in Rome, but not the last, and we would like staying here again;-)

  • The apartment is absolutely beautiful. The pictures are spot on. We ended up spending each night on the balcony sipping Asti, talking and watching movies on the laptop we brought enjoying the warm evening air. In the morning we ate the breakfast we bought at the close by supermarket there (10 mins walk or so up Via di Sant Evaristo) Here you can stock up on supplies or get a fantastic pizza from the pizzeria down on Via Gregorio VII (the one with a Döner Kebab sign out in front - you can't miss it) They are super nice there and even speak a little English which is not as common as you would think in a city that hosts SO many tourists.
As I wrote the apartment is fantastic however there are no air conditioning - there are a fan in the bedroom and one in the living room but they only circulate the air a bit - they don't cool it. Also there was no Internet and when I called our contact Angela (a very nice woman who unfortunately speaks just enough English to not understand anything that diverges from a set script of phrases) she kept telling me what the password to the the wifi was as I tried to explain to her the network wasn't showing up neither on the computer or my phone so a password wasn't really useful at this point. The conversation ended with her telling me that she wasn't home so that was kind of the end of that. We had no Internet for our entire stay.

The apartment is really hard to find because the street it’s located on only has a street sign at one end – the taxidriver dropped us of at the other end where it’s sealed of with a chain. It’s a short, steap street maybe 30 meters long with only one door which is where you’re staying. We were charged a fee of 20 euro for checking in after 21.00 by Angela. She said it said so on the website – I can’t find it and couldn’t really check it online with the no internet and all.

Some info I wish I had: bus 932 takes you from Via San Damaso (go down Via Agostino Valerio, turn right on Via di Sant Evaristo out on Via San Damaso – you can see the stop from the corner and it takes 2 minutes to walk from the building) to the Vatican and metro station Ottaviano on the metro line A that also has stops near The Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. Save your feet and wait for the bus. I don’t know how often the bus goes but not that often – 1 or 2 times an hour. The bus sign just lists the stops and the hours of 1st and last service.

Also Angela lives in the building. Something I wish I’d known when she asked if she should wait for us to let us in fearing we’d have to sleep on the street and thought if she left we wouldn’t be let in.

All in all 3 stars for the apartment and if the had been internet it would have been 5. Not being able to check things out online made our stay difficult because everything just seemed to be closed all the time.

    Response from Jimmy:

    Thank you for the feedback.
I'm sorry but probably there has been a misunderstanding during the check-in, because both the oven and the washing machine are perfectly
working. We used to have a problem at the beginning so the apartment manager wasn't sure to let them be used. About the air conditioning it is
possible to use the swing mode to direct the cool upstairs. We are really sorry and apologizing for the bbq, we are planning to take it off of the
flat as just before your arrival there has been a functional problem using it. We will provide to take it off from the advertice descriptions until we will replace it with a safer one.
