Great location in Colmar. When we arrived there was a mixup with our bookinkg. Renee had put other people into the apartment we had booked.. These people had arrived earlier in the day.
The situation was resolved, we were offered another apartment, however this was a little off putting. Even though to be fair the alternative apartment was a bigger apartment.
We think a misunderstanding with language differences was mainly responsible for this.
Great location in the middle of Petite Venise, and right by the market. It doesn't get any closer. Building and flat are very clean and quite charming, and seems to have been renovated just recently. All flats are rented to guests, so there is no personal stuff lying around. We stayed in the attic apartment, so it can get a bit warm in the summer, but they have air conditioning in the bedroom. Renee and her friends are very friendly, and forthcoming and helpful if something is needed, about check-out/check-in etc. It was a great stay, and we would recommend it to anyone staying in Colmar.
It was a very pleasant stay in a beautiful surrounding. Our hosts were very helpful and we felt very much at home very quickly!
We traveled through Europe for 15 days and this was certainly our favorite place to stay. The apartment was super cozy and clean and had a great view of the Little Venice area. It's actually so well situated and picturesque that we stumbled out a few times to groups of people admiring the building - you really are in the middle of it. Oh, and the host of course was fantastic. Really, if you want a memorable place to stay(and at a really great price), this is it for you!
This 15th century apartment is on the top floor of a canal-side street in Colmar's 'Little Venice'. If that's not enough to tempt you, then read on...
Renee and her friends and family work together to make everything so simple. They were looking out for us when we arrived outside the building and made us feel instantly at home. The apartment is wonderfully roomy and has been tastefully redecorated in a modern style which complements the many period features like exposed wall and roof beams that have been thoughtfully preserved. The apartment is in a great location - just a stone's throw from the covered markets - which were hosting a wine and food festival the day after we arrived! The array of fresh gourmet fare was inspiring. We loved walking along the canals that wind through a large part of the old town. Lots of cafes and bistros, excellent shopping and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Highly recommended and good value.
Beautiful, cosy and very well situated appartment. We had a very nice stay and I'd recommend the place to anyone visiting Colmar. Three things to note for people wanting to stay here:
- Arrival is expected at 16h (AirBnB states "17h onwards" ...)
- The WiFi password is written in the cupboard just at the top of the stairs (black door, you can see it on picture #4, far right picture #6)
- There's a free of charge parking on the rue Turenne, the road just behind the flat. For a weird reason, only the LEFT side of the road is free !
We have a really good stay at the petit venice in colmar(in the city center), the apartment is really cozy and has everything that you can need, renee, Annick and company were really polite helpful and kidness. The only thing is that during two nights it was really warm in Colmar and because they dont have AC it was almost imposible to sleep. but it seems that there is no normal that weather.
