Charming colourful room with 2 single beds, en-suite shower room and a balcony overlooking the central courtyard
Lovely bedroom with 2 separate single beds (not possible to put together) colorful cushions, a little balcony overlooking the patio, and an oriental bathroom with shower.
There are 5 other bedrooms in the Riad, all very different in style and size.
The riad, a traditional house built around an open patio with fountain and trees, is very peaceful.
You can relax on the roof terrace on a sun-lounger or in one of the tents, in the jacuzzi/pool, or hammam.
Moad, the 2 Rachidas and Hassan will welcome you warmly with a mint tea and local pastries and help you organise your stay in Marrakech.
Guests have access to the jacuzzi, hammam, central courtyard and rooftop terrace.
Our Riad is centrally situated, in the Medina (old town), in a quiet area, but only 2 minutes from buzzing pedestrian streets, lined with exotic looking shops, traditional workshops and laid-back cafés, that lead you to the souks (10 min) and the famous Djemaa El Fna square (15 min).
There is a taxi rank less than 5 minutes from the riad.
Other Things to Note
There is a local tourism tax of 8Dh and a tourist promotion tax of 15Dh payable per guest per night at the property for all guests over the age of 12. This 23Dh charge per night per person is about €2.30
We would like to remind you that Morocco is a Muslim country, therefore as a mark of respect for its inhabitants it is highly recommended to avoid short dresses and shorts, as well as bare belly, low-cut tops, or anything too revealing (especially in the old city).
Also it is very inappropriate to eat or smoke in the street in the daytime during Ramadan (starting 28 June 2014 for 1 month)
First of all I would like to thank all the staff at the Riad for their help, all the mint tea, early breakfasts and chat/advice I got. The Riad is lovely, just as advertised, with an amazing roof garden to chill, and cozy hot tub to relax (make sure to tell the staff to warm it up as early in advance as possible though, it takes some time as it is quite big, which is a good thing actually). Like the others before me I would recommend to order the taxi ride from the airport (way back it's up to you really), it's probably close to impossible to find the Riad on your own if it's your first time, but after you know the drill it's no problem whatsoever, all the streets in Marrakesh are a bit of a labyrinth to be honest, so better get used to it asap. The Riad is located in perfect location, within a walking distance to the Souks, the Jemaa el-Fnaa main square (Medina) and Majorelle Gardens (New Town). On the first night, straight from the airport taxi, I went on a night straw to the main square, fun but a bit scary, I would recommend to always have change in your pocket, there are a lot of wannabe tour guides, jumping on you the second you stop to look at a map, and if you only have 200 MAD in your pocket it makes you feel a bit uneasy about how to get rid of them. On my second night I had the advertised dinner at the Riad, and it was very good with a more than decent protein portion, just the way I like it. All in all I couldn't recommend the Riad enough, it was pretty much perfect. I've also used the travel agency on the street the Riad is located (not affiliated with the Riad) for a cheeky trip to the Atlas mountains on my last day, and I even managed to negotiate a deal so that they would drop me off at the airport on our way back, that said I did have to push for it a bit on the day, as the driver didn't want to honor it initially, all ended well and I got to the airport on time and de facto saw some amazing landscapes (a one day excursion is something I would definitely recommend) plus saved money on the taxi ride. Hope this helps, thanks again, all the best, Lukasz
Die Abholung am Flughafen hat gut funktioniert. Als Begrüßung gab es einen herrlichen Minztee und Kekse. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich, alle wurden uns vorgestellt.
Thank you Susanne, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is true that breakfast on the terrace with the view is a great way to start the day.
We do try and light the fire every evening in the riad especially during the colder months such as January but not during the day as guests are usually out and about .
Thank you again for your kind comments.
The Riad O² team.
This was by far the nicest riad we stayed at in Morocco. Really lovely staff and beautiful decorations, plus the terrace is massive. The location is quite isolated and difficult to find but we made it work. The bed was also very uncomfortable.
Thank you for your lovely comments.
It is true that the riad is a little difficult to find the first time, which is why we do recommend our transfer service but once guests have done the trip once to the Sidi Ben Slimane square they are usually well able to negociate their way back and forth to the riad.
Todo o espaço emana calma, paz e simpatia.
The accommodation was comfortable and pleasant. The staff was friendly and hospitable.
The most fantastic thing about the location of the riad is that it's situated in the inner city of Marrakesh and that makes you feel like beeing able to enjoy the true marrocain every day life.
It was a unique experience .
It is true that the central location of the riad means you are in the heart of the Medina and local life yet have the peace, comfort and tranquility of the riad to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you for your kind comments.
The team at Riad o2.
We really enjoyed our stay at riad o2! It was a gorgeous building, the staff extremely helpful, everything was very clean and we felt completely safe and comfortable ( namely being 2 girls traveling alone). The driver picked us up from the airport and as soon as we arrived they gave us a map of Marrakech which they drew on so we could easily find our way about the winding streets. We had a spa treatment and meal at the riad the second night, which was by far the best of our trip!Thank you so much for a wonderful experience and we have already recommended you to friends!
We had a wonderful (but too short) visit to Marrakech and this Riad was the perfect base to explore the old city from. It's beautiful courtyard where we were given mint tea on arrival and the roof terrace where we had breakfast every morning were the ideal places to relax. We were made to feel very welcome and given help to plan a day trip to the mountains with a friendly and informative guide. I couldn't recommend this place more highly! Am already thinking about when I can go back!

We are a French couple who fell in love with Morocco years ago.
We then decided to buy a place in Marrakech. After a long period of renovation work, combining modern comfort, traditional material and our taste for design, we finally created our beautiful riad.
We love going to the desert, sleeping in berber tents and listening to Touaregs playing drums and singing.
We also enjoy meeting people and telling them about our favourite places to see and visit.
