Splendid B&B St. Agnes, located at the very center of the town of Assisi, was built in about 1100, and lies on a Roman villa which you can see some mosaics, some columns and some historical remains.
The residence, which stands on three floors with 3 apartments offers features rooms with double beds, 3 bathrooms, with bath or shower, a 'large dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful terrace.
The terracotta floors, wooden beams and fresco del'XVII sec. damage to the apartments of a noble warmth forgotten over time.
The furniture, ricercatamente simple, ideal for creating harmony days of complete calm in the heart of the City "poor man" St. Francis and St. Clare.
To fully appreciate even the culinary traditions around the Holiday Residence Agnes is possible to make wine tours at the best wineries in the area.
Every guest has his own room with a private bathroom and the room are on three different flores.
The living room, the lounge and the kitchen are the shared spaces of the house.
Me or my brother Giuliano will be present at your arrive and we'll be at the house or nearby if you need help or informations.
I never met Fabio in person but all of our communications through email left a great impression. He responded quickly - and when an issue arose with the airbnb website he took care of it immediately! My sister and I spent the night in Assisi and I booked the Residenza from my phone while on the train with spotty service. Fabio's brother met us at the house and he was the absolute picture of courtesy and hospitality. We were SO glad to have stayed here - it is in the heart of Assisi just by the piazza Santa Chiara, so peaceful. It really felt like I could live there forever. Plus, the shower's water pressure and heat is GREAT - which isn't always the case in Italy. Definitely recommend!
Our stay was excellent! We were welcomed by Juliano and given excellent choices about where to eat and visit. Our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was satisfactory. Location is the best!
Fabio met us at the apartment and welcomed us to Assisi with much information. The apartment was immaculate and the location was perfect. This made for a most comfortable and memorable stay in this wonderful Italian village.
The house was very nice, although a lot of stairs. The bedrooms and baths were large and airy, and my room had a lovely terrace that I enjoyed every evening with my sisters and a bottle of wine. Fabio was helpful with the internet and a few restaurant suggestions. This is a B and B, so my sisters had the 3rd floor room, I had the second, and there were two women who had rented the first floor bedroom. We shared a common living room and kitchen. A basket of rolls and crackers were left for each room in the kitchen for breakfast, although we got the impression that cooking a full meal was not encouraged. Our other AirBNB accommodations in Italy were private apartments, so we saved money on cooking for ourselves on occasion. In Assisi we ended up eating all three meals out, as I need good strong coffee in the morning and wasn't certain how to use the coffeepot. Fabio left us numbers to reach him if we had any concerns, but left us quite to ourselves otherwise. The location was good relative to the city center, but everything is mountain goat material in Assisi, so the shortcut to the center of town was steep walking. Everything was steep walking!! The city is charming, filled with wonderful churches, art galleries, and many touristy shops. Also many many large tourist buses come for the day, so the place fills up by 11 in the morning and seems to empty out by 3 or so. Would I go back? Probably not- this was well worth seeing once but did not provide more than a 2-3 day sense of travel adventure. Would I recommend Fabio's apartment- yes, with the caveat that there are stairs to climb, others sharing the space, and an uncertainty about the use of the kitchen that we should have asked about.
What a beautiful place. Assisi is a gorgeous town and this house represents that well. Fabio was wonderful to deal with over the phone. He manages this flat for his parents. His mother, Giuseppina, was there to meet us and check us in. We stayed on the 2nd floor (primo piano) and the room was spotless and gorgeous. We had our own private balcony and the cool evening breeze blowing through the room was a welcome change from the hot summer afternoon. The place is incredibly well renovated. The street out front can be a but noisy in the morning, but we had the windows open so that wasn't a surprise.
It's right in the centro storico so it's convenient to everything (and Assisi isn't all that big). Parking in the Mujano garage is safe, convenient and inexpensive.
Fabio was a very friendly and helpful host. The place is awesome, and they even (email hidden) unit! The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was very large and also very clean. Breakfast was sufficient. Assisi is a very beautiful and friendly city. Hike to Eremo delle Carceri for a tranquil and beautiful historic experience. Also, find Fabrizio's slow food shop for an incredible meal.
We had a wonderful stay at Residenza Sant'Agnese in Assisi. It was the perfect size for our group of 7 with 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms. It was also by far our favorite b&b we stayed in as well as our favorite town! Fabio's brother gave us dinner recommendations which were delicious. The 3rd floor room gets a little warm in the summer, but he provided a fan for that room. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay here again! Thanks Fabio :)
