Laurel Cottage is heated by a propane fireplace located in the living room. This heater will warm the entire house when interior doors are open. Should you chose to close bedroom doors, there are electric space heaters in each room for your individual comfort. There's no air conditioning; we don't need it.

We supply four Smart TV's. Please feel free to enjoy your favorite streaming services with you own accounts. Please remove your log in credentials prior to departure.

The driveway is steep and during winter months will require snow chains or all wheel drive.

We enjoy great high speed wireless fiber internet, and you can do your work from our home when you're not out enjoying nature.

Security cameras catch the exterior activity at front and back doors and parking area. They are motion activated and record audio/video.

Our family (plus the 4-legged members) loves the mountains and beach. You'll always find us outside enjoying nature, climbing the Profile Trail at Grandfather Mountain or checking out Linville Gorge. The dog park at the Banner Elk town park is a favorite, as is the one at Beech Mountain. And some live music outdoors is a great way to end a day of mountain fun. We also enjoy Myrtle Beach and travel there as often as possible for the sun and fun.
