We LOVED our stay at the Sawah! Our 3 night stay was perfect-from the initial evening walk down the lane, past the rice field to a local open air bistro- to the last day spent touring Yogyakarta using the custom itinerary Wim gave us. Wim is a gifted host. He even arranged for tw…

Hello Sooz & Russ, Thanks for your wonderful and flattering review! Ours was very positive too, but not as heavenly as yours. Thanks too for the suggestion to arrange a designated driver to pick up our airport guests. The problem that we experienced twice made us decide not send a driver to the airport anymore. In both cases namely there was a HUGE delay of several hours. The guests could not inform us in time, so we could not inform the driver. The result: he was waiting for hours and finally left the airport. In one case he simply had to leave, because he had another booking: a sightseeing tour. In case a driver has to wait for several hours, there will be a problem for our guests as well: he will charge for the waiting time, which is an uncontrollable amount. So we really do not see how we can solve these issues. Maybe you have suggestions? Thanks again, Greetings, Wim

My wife and I decided to spend five full nights at the Sawah after seeing the gorgeous photos on the Air BnB website and reading all the rave reviews. We couldn’t have been happier with the decision. The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous. The open-air terraces, fish pond, and I…

This was our second stay at theSawah and as good as the first one was, this time was even better. The staff is very special and it's easy to feel so at home that you'll think you actually are. Plus, you're on the edge of a wonderful city, but still in the midst of a tranquil pa…
