Frans was very friendly and helpful! The room was lovely, clean and the bed slept really well. The room is situated on the first floor overlooking the garden. I will definitely book with him in future!
Frans (email hidden)! Very accommodating and welcoming and the room was perfect for what my husband needed for his overnight stay. The lift from and to the airport, and to the wedding was particularly useful. Would recommend to others.
I had a great stay at Fran’s Luxurious bedroom for 3 nights. The room I stayed in was spacious for a solo traveller and still a good size to be recommended for travelling couple. It has a nice view from the terrace, perfect to welcome some morning sun and coffee! On top of the room’s close proximity to the airport and walking distance to a chill Italian restaurant and supermarkets, Frans is an easygoing host whom you can arrange almost everything at a fraction of a cost to make your stay convenient and hassle free.
We had a wonderful time. Frans was very welcoming and helpful when we needed directions for the bus, local restaurant, and shops. He made us feel welcome as soon as we entered. We would stay there again. Thank you!
Frans (email hidden). He gave me clear directions to his house and guided me around the house when I reached. The room was clean and neat, and Frans had even kept a few oranges, and a lollipop for me!
Through my two days with Frans, I had a few good conversations with him and his son. While there were other guests, he was there when I needed him. He even let me borrow his bicycle for a couple of hours.
I'd surely recommend his place to anyone wishing to stay near Schiphol
Frans made my first experience using Airbnb a very positive one. He was a very attentive host and went out of his way to make sure my first visit to Amsterdam was memorable. His son Minck was also very helpful and mature. My room was perfect and I slept very well in the big comfy bed.
Frans also loaned me his bike to ride into Amsterdam and he didn't hesitate to pick me up when I got lost. I would highly recommend staying at Frans home. You won't regret it. Thank you so much Frans and Minck.
Frans is wonderful. Very easy to communicate with and makes you feel very welcome in his home. The bedroom is big and cozy and surprisingly quiet! Bed is very comfortable.
Having never used airbnb before i have to admit i felt a little trepidation when i enquired about booking with Frans. Thankfully he helped to make the process straightforward and gentle.
The house itself is situated in perfectly idyllic surroundings and is super-conveniently located. Just 15 minutes from the city and 15 minutes from the airport and with a bus stop two minutes walk away.
The tranquillity of the house, the light airy rooms, the lack of noise and its quiet setting is a marvellous contrast to the bright lights and bustle of Amsterdam itself and coming back to the house was actually a nice sensation every evening. And oh, to wake each morning to the sound of birdsong was so nice.
As for Frans (and his charming and polite son Minke) i would say this 'dynamic duo' really represent Dutch hospitality in all of its best forms.
Frans is considerate, helpful, relaxed, gracious, generous with his time and, above all kind (and also very, very good at Grand Turismo on Playstation!).
On several occasions Frans thought nothing of going out of his way to help me or my fellow guests and is full of good knowledge about the area. He is, in short, always happy to help and eager that his guests have the best time possible.
"Sharing is better than owning.." Frans said to me one evening when i asked to use the jacuzzi quite late into the evening. It is a philosophy he truly believes and acts upon without a second thought.
So, to sum up, our stay with Frans was above and beyond all expectation. There are no bad words to say about it. The peaceful house and the warmth of our host(s) made what was a beautiful and special trip even more outstanding and memorable.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay with Frans again, in fact i am looking forward to the next time i get to visit Amsterdam and hope to experience the delightful ambience of his place in the future.
We were so glad we got to meet Frans and (email hidden). His communication was great throughout the process. We were able to chat with Franz during the evening and also hang out with some other guests on his back patio on a beautiful evening. This was our first time staying at a shared accommodation and I was a little nervous about it, but sharing a bathroom was no big deal and we got to spend time with several awesome people we otherwise wouldn't have! Highly recommend.
This is my first trip to Europe and Franz and Minck made me feel very welcome. I am from a small, quiet town and this location was perfect for me. I woke up with the birds and slept very well on the large bed. I would recommend Frans for a quick hop to Schiphol or day trips downtown or to Haarlem.
