*Things to note after receiving some feedback this year!
1) I do not provide any groceries, coffee etc. Many things are left behind from guests, salt, pepper, condiments, coffee, foil, etc. but there is no guarantee of what will be there. I recommend checking in, seeing what's available then heading to the grocery store just up the road.
2) Yes the home sleeps up to 18 but NO the dining room table does not fit 18. It fits maybe 6. There are other places and options to sit and eat but you will have to spread out. We have added an 8ft plastic folding table with 10 chairs you can use if needed.
3) The dishes/cups are mostly made of hard re-usable plastic and melamine. There is limited glassware and porcelain ware. This is on purpose. These are meant to be durable. If you prefer china or porcelain to eat your meals or specific cocktail/wine glasses please bring your own.
4) The bedding is from a company called Beddies. They are high-quality zip-up bedding. This makes turnover and cleaning much faster. It's easy to make the bed. If you do not like the idea of zippered bedding please bring your own bedding.
5) There are a limited number of bath towels. We can only do so much laundry in between guests. There are 4 hours between one group checking out and the next checking in. There is A LOT to wash. If you have a large party I recommend bringing some more towels.
6) Our housekeeper is a wonderful local woman who works VERY hard to make the home clean and inviting. As noted above, there is A LOT to do in 4 hours. If there is a thing or two out of place we do apologize and just hope you can offer some kindness in knowing she works very hard and does her best, but on occasion, something small may be overlooked.
7) I am always open to feedback and strive for excellent communication. I value your feedback so please private message me if you have any questions or concerns.
8) Main living room area definitely not as big as it looks in some of the wide angle pictures. The home is about 2200sqft total. Plenty of room for large groups still as there’s a second living space downstairs as well.
This is Maine! There ARE bugs! However, we’re proud to say we’ve hired a pest control company to limit the amount of ticks, mosquitos and browntail moth to help you rest easy! It’s important to wear bug spray and check yourself at the end of the day!
