The Space

My room is small, quiet and fully furnished, and sleeps two comfortably in a full-size bed. Guests will receive clean sheets and a fresh towel per person.

The apartment has a nice living room that gets a lot of light during the day. It's quite cozy, with a small dining table, a sofa, and coffee table and some plants.

The kitchen is large by New York standards, and you will be able to use the fridge and access kitchenware and utensils for cooking.

The apartment is located in Clinton Hill, an up-and-coming neighborhood between Fort Greene and Bedford-Stuyvesant, known for its nice brownstones and central location. Both Fort Greene Park and Prospect Park are a 15-minute walk away. The parks host Farmer's Markets on Saturdays.

The apartment is near the Clinton-Washington C and G train stops, offering easy access to Manhattan, Williamsburg, and downtown Brooklyn. There is a good supermarket two blocks away, as well (email hidden) laundromat and 24-hr deli within a few-block radius.

There are increasingly more good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. I especially recommend the following (all in walking distance):

- The Fulton (email hidden) with rotating, seasonal beer selection, across the street)
- The Outpost Café (cozy coffeeshop nearby, serves food as well as beer/wine)
- Emily (charming Pizza spot on Fulton)
- Marietta (delicious southern-inspired food on Grand)
- Weather Up (speakeasy-type cocktail bar on Vanderbilt Ave)
- Hot Bird (cool beer and cocktail bar on Clinton St)

For movies and cultural programming, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is a great destination: they have a cinema, theater, dance, and music program, also in walking distance.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the kitchen, living room and their private room.

Interaction with Guests

I freelance and often am working from home, therefore depending on guests' plans I seem them every day, though very often its brief. Its usually a great way for me to offer recommendations and suggest museums or places to visit, or check-in about house rules or how to check-out of the apartment.

  • Christina was a great host! I could not see her during my stay as she was traveling, but I definitely could feel that she tried her best to make me feel comfortable at her place, by exchanging emails and text messages with her. I would like to recommend this place to others as well.

  • We really enjoying staying at Christina's place. The appartment is great and the location is very convenient, near subway and bus.
Christina and her flatmate where always helpful, giving us tips about the neighborhood and providing all the information necessary to get to the appartment and the keys. Worked out perfectly!

  • All was delightful. Picking up the keys worked smoothly. While I did not meet Christina, her roommate was very nice and helpful. Christina and I had good communication via email and texting.
As advertised, it is close to the subway stop. And if you're coming in via JFK, it's easy to get to by public transportation. There are some good restaurants and bars nearby. Alice's Arbor on Classon Ave. has amazing food.
    2 thumbs up!

  • The stay in Christinas Cozy room in Clinton Hill Brooklyn was very cosy indeed! It was just what I imagined it to be like. My mother and I stayed for a period of four nights, but I could have easily spend a week there because of the layed back atmosphere and relaxed sourounding. Communication with Christina was very easy. We communicated by e-mail which worked out great from getting information about the appartement to where we can pick up the keys. She told me everything in time so I had no worries flying in from Germany. She left us a helpfull and welcoming note in her room and a set of cards with New York City walks. Everything was clean and we realy felt like welcome guests. We saw her roomate Paula a few times, she is a realy nice and sweet person and to our suprise she spoke German. We did lots of walking and exploring the city during the day but when we came home at night we had a chance to relax as if we where at our own place. There is a nice coffee shop across the street where we got our coffees and bakery in the morning. Puplic transportation is easy to reach and not far from down town Manhatten or any other place. I can highly recomment to stay in Christinas Cozy room, it´s a real authentic New York experience like I always dreamed to have. Thank you so much for letting us stay Christina and to all following Airbnblers: this is the place to be!

  • Clean room in clean apartment, conveniently located near subway. Building however is a bit in disrepair and is overall very noisy.

  • This room was a fantastic find. Christina was very communicative before I arrived, and the key was easy to pick up. The room is clean and really comfortable, and Christina's roommate is super nice too. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Christina was a fantastic host even though we didn't meet her. She was very good at communicating and arranging for us to pick up keys when we arrived late at night and making sure we had everything we needed! Her house mate Paula who was home was very friendly and gave us some tips for brunch places.
The location is great with plenty places to eat etc in the area and very easy to get to Manhatten on one subway.

I'm an exhibit developer and yoga teacher from Brooklyn, NY. I love to travel, and travel a LOT both for work and for pleasure, so I'll end up in a city by myself quite frequently. I love art and dance, and find my way to museum, performances and the like in other countries quite frequently.
