Calm and convenient location

Guests say this area is peaceful and it’s easy to get around.
616.A / Breezin A is a gorgeous 1 BR in Virginia Beach’s original resort area—just 6 blocks from the beach and boardwalk. This vacation rental comfortably accommodates 4 guests, and includes a living room, kitchen and bathroom.

It features a shared hot tub, outdoor kitchen, extensive decking, driveway parking, a private gated yard, professional landscaping, & free bikes for guests (April 1 - October 31). Close to everything, but far enough away to be quiet.

The space
This vacation rental comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests, with a king-size foam mattress in the bedroom and queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Pets are not permitted.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a large pantry, kitchenware, microwave, large toaster oven, drip coffee maker (& premium coffee), and full-size refrigerator -- plus a washer/dryer for added convenience. Custom finishes throughout the space include bamboo wood floors, ceiling fans, crown molding, wainscoting, and detailed tile work. Both the bedroom and living room feature wide-screen smart TVs.

Guests will enjoy a spacious living room, large bathroom, and generous kitchen with both counter and table seating. The unit has its own private entrance and is one of two separate vacation rentals on the property, along with the owner’s residence.

Shared outdoor amenities include:
Hot tub
Outdoor kitchen and gas grill
Patio furniture and outdoor shower
Backyard deck and professionally landscaped yard
Complimentary guest bicycles are available from April 1 to October 31.

Smoking of any kind is prohibited indoors. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated areas with provided receptacles. Climate control is set for guest comfort: maximum A/C setting is 72°F, and maximum heat setting is 76°F.

A one-time housekeeping fee is charged at booking and covers cleaning after checkout—whether you stay 1 night or 30. Longer stays reduce your nightly cost by spreading the fee across more nights. However, for an additional fee ($100), your unit and linens can be changed as frequently as you’d like.

Parking includes one private driveway spot for registered guests. We cannot accommodate parking for visitors or unregistered vehicles. If you plan to bring a second vehicle, please notify us when booking. While we cannot guarantee a second spot, we’ll do our best to accommodate. Nearby paid public parking is available along the 600 blocks of 25th Street and at the parking garage between Pacific and Arctic Avenues.

Guest access
Our beach-front community is lively and welcoming, with visitors enjoying our beaches, boardwalk, Atlantic Avenue, restaurants and all the attractions and entertainment offered. The area has many parking garages and some private parking lots. There is also metered parking along many of the streets. While driving and walking are common, we recommend exploring by bicycle—just like the locals do. Please note that our guest bikes are available from April 1 - October 31.

Other things to note
We welcome you to enjoy your vacation with us but please note that your Host and his family live on the property. Our neighborhood is also a residential one with many year-round residents and families that have lived here for years.

We provide complimentary beach chairs and guest bicycles (available April 1–October 31) to help you enjoy your stay to the fullest.

To use the free bikes, a Waiver of Liability form must be completed by ALL adult riders (minors cannot use bikes). If you bring your own bike, please bring your own lock. While on the property your bikes can be stored in our gated side-yard. If you use our bikes, please bring that lock with you. Please message me with the email addresses and names of ALL adults that plan to ride. I will email the waiver by Adobe/Docusign to each person. Once completed (signed & initialed in all the spaces provided), please return it to me. I will provide the lock code to unlock the bike(s). Please lock your bike as unlocked bikes tend to disappear, and they are expensive for the guest to replace.

There are some activities and behaviors that we cannot tolerate. The following things are strictly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate removal from the premises without a refund and a poor write-up to AirBnB. Those items, activities and behaviors that are prohibited are listed as follows:

• Pets
• Parties or Events
• Unauthorized Guests
• Excessive Noise
• Weapons
• Public Drunkenness
• Misuse of the Property in Any Way
• Disrespectful Behavior to Host/Host's Family, or Other Guests or Neighbors

Neighborhood highlights

We are located in the Old Beach Borough which was the original Town of Virginia Beach. Our neighborhood is a residential one that is located only 5-blocks from the Boardwalk. We are 6 blocks from the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and resort area. Any place in the resort area can be reached within a 15 minute bike ride from our property.

The now modern City of Virginia Beach grew up around our neighborhood. We now have a population of over 400,000 but not long ago the original City stretched 7 blocks west of the Boardwalk and extended from 1st Street to 40th Street. The area was known for its 2-to-3 story wooden Hotels, Boarding Houses and Cottages along the Boardwalk. This was a true summer resort area and at that time and it was said that "the day after Labor Day and until Memorial Day Weekend a cannon could be shot down the middle of Atlantic Avenue and it would not hit a person.

Our neighborhood has obviously evolved over the past 40-years. The Boardwalk area is now graced with many 10-to-20 story hotels and apartment hi-rises which has attracted many people as year-round residents. Marriott, Embassy Suites, Hilton brands now grace our area. There are numerous eateries from humble ones to fine dining experiences found at the Historic Cavalier Hotel. Shopping is abundant. In order to attract tourists the City hosts a number of events along our Boardwalk on almost a daily basis. There are large fireworks displays every Sunday and Wednesday, live entertainment at several stages in addition to the live entertainment provided by restaurants and bars. There are massive festivals (Neptune Festival) and art shows (Virginia Beach Art Festival), the Nationally recognized Shamrock Marathon, Sand Soccer, Competitive Beach Volley Ball, Deep Sea Charters, and everything else imaginable. There is also False Cape Park which is a beautiful State Park that is adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay and its estuaries. At Fort Story which is at 89th Street, there are historic light houses there (one was built in 1792 and the other was constructed in 1881). Near this site is where the first permanent settlers landed in the New World before sailing up the James River to Jamestown.

History, great food, world class entertainment, fireworks, festivals, first class accommodations, our neighborhood has it all. Welcome to the Virginia Beach Resort Area!!!
