Alpaca experience in a whimsical setting. Come to our little cottage where sweet alpacas push their heads through porch railings to greet you! Adults & kids are delighted by our girls (their run comes up to your private porch). Walk inside and feel celebrated as you stand under the colorful lights of a disco ball. .🏡 The Outdoor Space
We’re so happy you’re here—and we genuinely believe everyone who visits the cottage was meant to find this place. 💛

This cheerful two-story cottage sits on the back side of our small family farm, our place of joy, animals, and woodlands. Some key things to know before you book:

You’ll be staying on a real working farm—expect hay piles, a little farm dust, and the occasional cluck or bark.

Our sweet golden retriever roams the property. She’s friendly but might leave the occasional surprise in the yard in shared spaces (outside your private space). Because she is allowed to freely roam, we don't always see her gifts right away.

We have four playful boys and lots of toys. You’re welcome to share space and toys if you’d like—but your area is completely private. You may see our boys retrieve eggs or deliver something requested to the cottage.

Guest access
🚗 Getting Here & Parking
You’ll need a car to get around.

Welcome to your home away from home. ❤️ I’ve traveled all the way around the world and this sweet little porch swing overlooking a sunrise and chicken coop is where I most want to be, where I want my children to be, and it gives me great joy to share this place with you. It’s a little piece of heaven on a rural hillside in Northern Virginia where my husband Mike and I have chosen to raise our 4 boys and build our businesses. We do things differently here from other places we have been…. For example, we want you to feel anticipated and appreciated the moment you walk in to the cottage. Sometimes we play music and light candles… sometimes we bake cookies. If you’re coming on a late flight with a baby, I’ll try to have a travel crib set up for you with soft music playing. The more details you provide me the more I can make your stay unique. I don’t do the extra stuff for good reviews (though I love a great review!) I do it because I am personally happiest when I am taking care of others, this is one way I am able to show love. My hope is also that while you are here you feel cared for, and cared about. ❤️ Thank you for reading this far, please reach out if you have any questions and we are excited to welcome you to our little slice of heaven! (For more technical details, keep reading below). Warm regards, Sarah Sfreddo Location: the cottage is easily accessible by a main road. We are 15-20 minutes off of highway 95, close to Bristow, Manassas, Gainesville, Woodbridge, Fairfax, etc The cottage has a rural feel but is on the cusp of many densely populated areas which includes endless activities; museums (DC museums included) shopping (Gucci, LV as well as Outlet Malls) …… all of these are easy day trips. day trips from this location, including Washington DC. Historic Occoquan and Old Town Manassas are two very popular little towns to visit, here is a list of nearby options: *** Parks and Recreation options are breathtaking, free and picturesque*** Bears Den Overlook, Bull Run Occoquan Trail, close to Occoquan is Neabsco Creek Boardwalk, Manassas National Battlefield Park, Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns *** Northern Virginia has a vast collection of wineries, vineyards and breweries*** Easy options within 10 miles are: *2 Silos Brewing Company (two silos is a good choice if the weather is nice and theirs often live entertainment) *Aroma Wine Tasting is a good choice for sweet wines while your spending a day in Old Town Manassas. *Effingham Manor Winery is a few minutes away and you can bring your own picnic basket and blanket (we have picnic baskets for you to use) Our property itself is a piece of history, dating back to the 1920’s, down the road from us (1.8 miles) is historic Brentsville complete with a one room school house which is where the children that lived in our home would have gone to school. Historic Brentsville also has a prison, one room courthouse and church. Please note, we have a friendly golden retriever who roams the property and befriends many guests. If you or someone in your party is afraid of dogs please reach out and we will try to accommodate.
