This spacious room with its own bathroom is situated in a beautiful flat characterised by exposed brick, wooden floors and lots of light - a real home from home. Enjoy your stay in a neighbourhood popular with locals and so close to central London!
What everyone loves about my place:
This is a lovingly decorated double bedroom with lots of light and lots of space. A complimentary bottle of wine, a bottle of filtered water as well as a hair dryer and two free Oyster cards (to get around London's public transport system) are made available for every guest. Your own luxurious bathroom with fresh towels, soap, hand cream and shower gel is right next to the bedroom.
You can use the beautiful and very sunny kitchen for breakfast in the morning. There is always lots of fresh organic fruit, organic natural yoghurt, organic swiss muesli as well as tea, coffee and organic milk. The comfortable lounge area is available for relaxing after a long day. There are many books you are very welcome to borrow. There is no TV.
Interaction with Guests
I am always very interested to hear about where my guests are from, what they do, why they are coming to London and why they chose to stay with me. Sometimes this may result in a home cooked dinner and a glass of wine together. However, I have a very active lifestyle and I am often travelling or out and about or just busy living life so sometimes when I come home I just want to relax.
Clapham is one of the most vibrant areas in South London lots of young professionals from all walks of life call their home. It is very well-connected with buses and tubes to Central London as well as its vicinity to two of London's busiest railway stations: Victoria and Clapham Junction.
By tube (underground, subway):
Leicester Square/Covent Garden - 15 mins
The West End - 15 mins
London Bridge/Bank/The City - 15 mins
Waterloo/Southbank/Tate Modern - 15 mins
Bus Number 88 to Oxford Circus - 30mins
via Tate Britain, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square
London City Airport - 40 mins
Gatwick Airport - 50 mins
Heathrow Airport - 75 mins
Stansted Airport - 90 mins
Luton Airport - 90 mins
Other Things to Note
What some guests don't like about my place:
There is a deep staircase with narrow steps leading to my flat on the first floor - 15 steps in total which I walk up and down several times a day, but which can be hazardous for someone with difficulty climbing stairs.
I mostly work from home and my desk is the kitchen table. I therefore ask my guests to be respectful of my time and space during weekdays and would like them to have finished breakfast by 10am, which is not suitable for everyone. The same goes for dinner and cooking in my kitchen. My working hours vary widely and I am not always able to finish by 6pm. However, I AM VERY FLEXIBLE and have many work commitments outside of my flat so I can always schedule around my guests' needs - all I require is good communication before and throughout your holiday so that I can ensure your stay will be an unforgettable experience.
If you have any questions about the accommodation or require general advice for your trip, please get in touch and I'll do my best to answer everything. I am here to help make your stay a memorable one!

Please clean up after using the kitchen.
Please open the bathroom window after showering.
Please close windows and turn off lights when leaving the house.
No smoking indoors, but you may use the garden.
The garden stairs are broken and my landlord is in the process of fixing this, but for now please be very careful when going outside as you could fall off the stairs.
My husband and I just came back from staying at Claudia's and had a wonderful time. The place is just as it seems in the pictures. Claudia was very welcoming, and gave us advice as to where to go and eat. When you get to Claudia's in your room you are welcomed with chocolates on your pillow, a bottle of wine and Oyster cards. Also, she provides yogurt, oatmeal and fruit for breakfast. It was nice to wake up and make your own coffee. One evening we sat with Claudia in the living room chatted and had some wine. We also enjoyed our chats over breakfast. We would recommend staying here and will be back. This was our first time renting a room and had a fantastic experience.
I stayed at Claudia's for a short weekend and I enjoyed it very much. The room and bathroom were very nice and convenient. Claudia is a pleasant and attentive hostess. I loved the neighbourhood, which I found very convenient to visit the city while having its own charm and being quiet. In total à great stay in a fantastic city
My experience with Claudia in Clapham was everything I could've hoped for. Thank you! Will definately come again & recommend to all friends.
Loved staying at Claudia's place - great location, spotless and fab host. Only feedback (minor) is that somewhere to hang or keep clothes would be great. I'll be back
We didn't actually manage to stay with Claudia as my daughter got ill the day before we were due to leave. However Claudia couldn't have been more understanding about it and I am sure we will stay with her in the future if she has space. She was very helpful and quick to respond to all our queries before we had to cancel so we were expecting to have a really good stay and hopefully we will one day soonish
I booked the room for my boyfriend's parents, visiting London for a week for the first time. Claudia was very welcoming and friendly. She was very respectful and my boyfriend's parents really loved staying there. The house is placed in a very quiet and nice neighborhood, easy to get transportation to the city centre. The bathroom and room were very cleaned and the apartment was really nice and tidy. Claudia was also really nice asking them if they wanted anything particular for breakfast. I will for sure book it again if needed because it was a great experience.
Claudia was very welcoming and helpful and the flat was beautifully clean, sunny and homely. It was our first time with Airbnb and Claudia was an 'old hand' and was able to fill us in. I highly recommend this charming apartment and we will hopefully stay there again. I should also mention that we drove our car to London and Claudia arranged our parking permit without any fuss. Much appreciated.

I'm a German who has lived in London for fifteen years. I love this city and think it's absolutely amazing what airbnb is making possible.
I have travelled lots over the years and always looked at alternatives of staying over in places. Whether it was a working farm in the south of Italy, a boat in France, a cattle farm in Australia, a tree house in Turkey or a good old-fashioned bed & breakfast in South West England - as a traveller I wanted to meet the locals and experience their place as they do as this is the best way to learn about other cultures. With today's technology and the ingenious airbnb platform this whole process has become so much easier and fun. It is wonderful how airbnb is helping ordinary people to open their doors to the curious traveller and I am very happy that I can contribute to this. I'm looking forward to welcoming you in this vibrant neighbourhood of this wonderful city.
