THE SPACE
Living Room
The living area is bright, spacious, and designed for comfort. You can stretch out on the sofa, put on a movie, dim the lights, or unplug with a book. The sliding glass door opens wide so the home feels connected to the landscape—especially at golden hour.
Kitchen + Dining
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and an induction stove for fast, easy cooking. You can start your morning coffee, prep a simple dinner, and gather around the dining table to linger a little longer. The home’s filtered well water makes staying hydrated effortless.
The Deck (Your Second Living Room)
Step outside to the covered deck, which acts like an outdoor living room. You can sip coffee in the swing chairs, share a meal at the outdoor table, or end the night relaxing by the fire pit. Best of all soak in your private Jacuzzi under the stars!
Bedrooms
Both bedrooms feature king beds and views that make waking up feel special. One room captures warm sunsets, while the other greets the morning with sunrise light over the canyon and mountains. The east-facing room also opens directly to the covered deck, so you can step outside and breathe in the desert air.
Bathrooms
The full bathroom includes thoughtful, custom touches and a spa-like feel, with a shower designed to help you reset after a day of hiking or exploring.
Pool (Shared) + Jacuzzi (Private)
The saltwater pool is shared with guests staying in our separate on-site bungalow listing (Zen Den). The property is designed with separation and privacy in mind, and most guests tell us it still feels like their own escape.
If you’d like a true spa moment, you can soak in the private jacuzzi located on the back patio. No additional fee.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
You’re perfectly placed for a mix of adventure and iconic desert culture:
- Joshua Tree vibes for hiking, boulders, and desert sunsets (an easy day trip)
- Pioneertown for Old West atmosphere, local shops, and live music energy
- Endless dirt-road exploring + hiking nearby, with trails and open space in every direction
If you tell us what you’re into (hiking, stargazing, live music, slower wellness weekends), we’ll happily share our favorite local recommendations.
WANT THE WHOLE PROPERTY?
Traveling with friends or want more space? Message us to ask about booking the entire Indigotopia property, which includes HOHM + the Zen Den bungalow for larger groups (two separate structures on the same land).
Guest access
You’ll have access to the main house and outdoor areas, including the covered deck and shared saltwater pool. The pool area is shared with guests in our separate on-site listing, Zen Den.
The main house has its own private Jacuzzi on the patio, for your use anytime. No additional fee!
Sound bath sessions take place in our Sound Temple and are available by booking. For everyone’s comfort and privacy, the Sound Temple is only accessible to guests attending a session.
For safety, please use the pool/jacuzzi and any exercise equipment at your own discretion.
Other things to note
Our concept: Indigotopia as a “heterotopia.” Indigotopia was created as a retreat space—something a little outside the everyday. Writer Erik Davis describes a heterotopia as “a space of otherness, at once physical and interpsychic.”
Here, the desert, the architecture, and the quiet are meant to help you slow down, reset, and reconnect. Think of it as a liminal in-between space: part home, part sanctuary, and a gentle invitation to reflect, create, and play with possibility.
We offer Crystal Sound Bath sessions on-site in our Sound Temple. Weekend sessions are typically Fridays at 8pm and Saturdays/Sundays at 11am.
As a thank-you for booking HOHM, we include 2 complimentary spots for your group (additional guests may join at a discounted rate). We recommend booking early, as sessions often fill up in advance. You can find details on Airbnb under “Pioneertown Sound Bath.”
Parking is easy. You’ll have dedicated on-site parking for HOHM, and sound bath attendees use a separate designated area. The last stretch to the home is a short dirt road. Off-road vehicles are welcome, and Burns Canyon is a popular nearby route toward Big Bear. Please note that driving/riding around the property itself is not permitted.
For security, there are 3 exterior surveillance cameras on the property (exterior only).
A quick note on the property: we are a small family who built Indigotopia as a peaceful retreat space. Everything we do and have done here on the land has been very sacred and dear to our hearts. We know those who stay here will feel all of the energy the space holds.
