Walk or ride into Dupont State Forest from the backyard. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this unique mountain home sits amid endless forest. "No Visitors" is ideal for those seeking solitude and an intimate experience with the natural world.

The space
This 2 br/1 bath home is family friendly. Fully stocked kitchen, with dishwasher. Excellent tap water for drinking. Extra full mattress under the queen bed for 6th person. There is wi-fi, basic cable, DVD player, CD player, and a Roku box. Indoor and outdoor speakers. Indoor and outdoor hammocks. Outdoor propane grill for use. Indoor fireplace and fire pit in the front yard. Rainfall shower head. Claw foot tub on the porch (summer only), great for viewing the stars at night.

Guest access
"No Visitors" is conveniently situated between Cannon Creek Trail and Rock Quarry Road of Dupont. This side of Dupont is not heavily hiked, and is quite peaceful. We also have a private trail that goes from the cabin to Rock Quarry Road, bypassing the main road completely.

Other things to note
"No Visitors" is in the woods. Meaning there are spider webs and bugs on the porch. Spiders are incredibly prolific creatures and re-spin their webs in the blink of eye. Meaning, the porch may look like it hasn't been "cleaned" in a while, when it may have been cleaned just the day before and the spiders diligently put their webs back up overnight.

Also, I have traveled to 60+ countries and there is art/literature/photos from all over the world as I am culture/history buff. Specifically, I studied in abroad in both Russia and Cuba as I was studying Cold War History in college. There is a lot of Russian and Cuban historical art/literature/photos. if you are easily offended by other cultures, you should probably pick a more neutral space.

Neighborhood highlights

Dupont to the west, Rich Mountain Land Conservancy to the east, and protected private land all around. "No Visitors" is truly a sanctuary from the concrete jungle so many of us live in.

There is a farm stand 10 minutes down the road with fresh, local produce.

The town of Brevard is 20 minutes away and Hendersonville is 30 minutes. Asheville is an hour drive. Dupont State Forest can be accessed from the backyard. Pisgah National Forest is 30 minutes away. Caesars Head State Park is a short drive, or an incredible bike ride, down the road.
