Polecam!
We just loved our stay in this very special apartment! The pictures is nothing compared to the details and the atmosphere in this place! If you like an artistic and international vibe this is where you should stay in sopot! We ended up chilling out a lot at 'home' because of this. Also the placement in sopot is genious. So close to everything, but quiet and cosy at the loft.
Asia was very friendly. Unfortunately the lights were stolen from our car outside the apartment but that was matberedare just bad luck. Apartment very interesting and you can tell an artist lives there, kitchen not great but plenty of restaurants in Sopot. Good exercise in the stairs...:)
The apartment is a large, light and airy and it's just under the roof of the building. It has exposed wood beams, colorful tiles, neat alcoves, and little artistic decorations all over the place that make it feel very unique and fun. It's impossible to capture the sense of it in photos and it makes it a very pleasant place to hang out in even on a rainy day.
The neighborhood is really nice, it's just a block away from the huge park that's next to the beach, and about ten blocks from the main walk boulevard where most of the restaurants are. Parking is a bit tricky as the street parking is mostly paid and fills up during peak hours. We left our car in the long driveway by the building, but had to coordinate with the (friendly) neighbors to move the car in or out.
One big down side is that it's 4th floor walk-up where the last set of stairs is practically a ladder. So it's not for people who don't like stairs or those with vertigo.
On the first night of our stay around 11pm, the faucet in the bathroom broke and started spraying water everywhere. I think it was just a stroke of bad luck, because everything else seemed in pretty sound mechanical condition. It was late at night and we didn't have anyone to contact. After talking to the neighbors who were not very helpful we found the cutoff switch for the water and got it under control. The next day we heard from Asia, who arranged a handy man to fix it that evening.
I'd highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a break from the boring hotel scene.
