In the heart of the Santa Ynez, located in the township of Ballard in a semi-rural, peaceful location. This is a studio guest house with a full bathroom, an in-ground pool on one acre. We also have an outdoor fireplace and patio that you may use. Residents live in the main house on the property. Free parking on-site, and a workspace with free, fast Wi-Fi. There are a few restaurants in Ballard and many more just a 5-minute drive away in Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Solvang.

The space
You'll be staying in a cozy guest house right by the pool. The guest house is small, approximately 220 square feet. This is a great space for a couple or solo traveler. The small kitchen is equipped with a mini-refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, sink, and Keurig coffee maker. In addition to coffee and tea, there is also oatmeal for a light breakfast

Ballard is a small town, consisting of only a few blocks. It is very quiet. We live on a block with no thru traffic. The town of Ballard itself is very walkable, but keep in mind that this is a semi-rural area with no street lights, no sidewalks, and uneven pavement in some places. The Historic Ballard Little Red School House is at the opposite end of town. On the way there, you will pass Bob's Well Bread- well known for their pastries and often has a line - and The Gathering Table, also a very well known and highly rated restaurant.

I was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley of California, and moved to the Santa Ynez Valley with my husband, Shawn in 1999. Shawn was raised in both Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley. We both attended college in Fresno and I continued on to law school. We own some small businesses and I work in the field of education. I consider myself pretty laid-back. I enjoy spending time with my pets - two cats - friends and my family. Shawn has been flying planes since he was a teenager and his latest adventure is electric skateboards. Shawn and I have two sons - one finishing up high school and the other in college about an hour away. I am new to hosting on Airbnb. We look forward to meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. We live on-site and I'm available if you need anything during your stay.
