  • What an incredible location! I spent 4 days here and felt that I had ample time alone and enjoyed the company of Margherita. She is a wealth of information and did give me special insider tips and historical facts which I appreciated. I would most certainly recommend her flat to any solo travelers!

  • Margherita was a great host. She had interesting topics to discuss, and is very knowledgable about the Cinque Terre. Great location, as you can see in the photos. Although the room was shared, it was no problem whatsoever. She was very respectful.

  • Margherita is very nice and sweet by introducing me about typical food and drawing me a cute map ^.^. She's also very concerned about the sustainable environment in Vernazza which is very unique to every host i have met. And the rooftop view was the best!

PS: I didn't have the chance to taste Monterossina since they closed that day. :p Till the next time then.

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Margherita in her very cute mansarda. She is kind, warm and very welcoming. We had many great conversations together and I really enjoyed her company. It felt like I was staying with a friend.

Margherita is a great host. She gave me recommendations for places to eat, wrote down local specialties that I might want to try for breakfast and she even took the time to help me plan a hiking trip. She also took me to La Spezia one night, in the pouring rain even, and showed me a store that I could purchase a hair appliance I needed. That was very kind of her as I was not familiar with La Spezia. The mansarda is very comfortable and the terrace definitely has the best view in town. Sunsets are amazing! Also, the hiking trail to Monterosso is literally right outside the front door.

I highly recommend staying with Margherita, especially if you are a female solo traveler. You will really enjoy her company and her mansarda. I look forward to a return trip back this summer! See you soon and thank you for your hospitality Margherita!

  • I enjoyed my stay at Margherita's place. She was very quick and efficient with communication before the stay and picked me up from the station. Margherita also gave me quite some tips about Vernazza and Cinque Terre. Special thanks for recommending me a scenic train route to Lucca - it was very beautiful! I also enjoyed our evening conversations over a cup of tea.
You will not have the privacy of your own room, but you will have an amazing view from the terrace.

  • Margherita is a warm and welcoming host, and you would do well to stay with her in Vernazza. She had everything I needed to have a comfortable stay and a good night's sleep, and we also had some interesting conversations. She even helped me find a place to stay the following night since my plans changed! Top tip: In case you are a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs as the church bells could disturb your sleep. They didn't bother me too much, though.

  • I stayed almost aweek in Margheritas cosy place.
She has one of the best terraces in Vernazza & I totally fell in love with it, watching sunset after sunset, zipping on my glass(es) of redwine. Im especially grateful for that one secret alcohol-free drink that contains.......ha, alcohol!

  • Margherita is the most interesting host I've had so far! She's warm and fun and down to earth that everyone would like to hang our with. Her place is awesome with gorgeous view of the square. Beside from the awesome sightseeing and hiking and fresh seafoods, hanging out with Margherita has made my stay in Vernazza the most amazing of my trip so far. Stay here if you're planning to go to Cinque Terre.

  • The mansarde was very well situated and had a beautiful view from the terrasse. Margherita was kind, and it is surely one of the cheapest places to sleep in the Cinque Terre, because other ones are really expensive!

I'm italian and austrian, I've lived in Austria ,Spain, England and Ukraine, I do speak english austrian and spanish, I'm trying to learn russian, which I hope will be my next destination. I'm a video and performance artist. I spend my days reading watching weird movies , listen to music, browse internet for informations related to my interests. I love to see my friends where ever they might be around the world. I like to sip Latte macchiato at the bar for several hours enjoying a book. My family has been living in Vernazza ever since the fall of the Byzantine empire, when Genovese citizens had to move out from Constantinople.
