The space
A Charming Farm Stay in Historic Homestead
After an easy drive off Route 101, you’ll arrive at the gates of this historic homestead, where stagecoaches once rumbled between Boston and Montreal. Enter through the original Stage Coach Waiting Room and step into the spacious Living Room with its grand fireplace, once the heart of family meals in 1754. Historic details like built-in shutters, wide pine floors, and a hand-painted Stenciled Room—New England’s largest intact example of its kind—are a feast for the eyes.

Modern Comfort Meets Historic Charm
The Homestead has been lovingly restored, blending tradition with convenience. Enjoy a large, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, sunroom, and six bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished with period pieces. The house sleeps up to 16 and is handicap-accessible, with a first-floor ramp, two bedrooms, and an accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. A/C units and fans ensure year-round comfort.

Outdoor Relaxation
Step outside to find a fenced swimming pool, screened gazebo, and sprawling lawns surrounded by perennial gardens. Gather around the fire pit at night, play lawn games like bocce or volleyball, or enjoy al fresco dining under twinkling lights. Guests can even collect fresh eggs from the henhouse or spend time with the friendly miniature horses right outside the door.

Historic Bank Barn: This 3-story barn, the largest of its kind east of the Mississippi, is home to 16 horses and features reservable rooms perfect for yoga, art projects, or meetings.
