  • Christine was wonderful! She was very easy to communicate with and was there to great us when we arrived at her home. The living space was exactly what we were hoping it would be. We were able to cook our meals and have a comfortable place to sleep. It was perfect for our dog, who needed space to run around. The neighborhood was quiet. Her gardens were beautiful.

  • We could not have had a better host, Christine made our stay most comfortable and actually gave us more personal space than we needed. The home was very comfortable and I really love her eclectic tastes. We will return and bring the pooch next time.

    Thanks for a perfect time!

  • We had a great time staying at Christine's lovely home. Her garden was so peaceful, and it was nice just enjoying her wrap around porch in the sun. Christine was very flexible with check-in and check-out times.

  • We had a wonderful time at Christine's place!
First, Christine is a very nice person, you can see she likes to share with people. She makes everything comfortable for our stay. It is a very peaceful place and we could finally relax. Christine has a beautiful house, she has very good taste, her decoration is very nice and you feel right away very comfortable.
On the sunday morning, I started my day, sunbathing on her deck and just enjoying the silence! Then I went in the hot tub in her garden under the sun, that she prepared for us. Then with my husband, we made our breakfast in her kitchen and could enjoy the nice view and the calm. And we enjoy our coffee on the deck under the beautiful sun!
We wish we could stay longer so if there is a next time and we hope, we will stay at least 2 nights and can try her cute little cottage!

  • This place was heaven!! Tucked away in a beautiful cozy town, perfect for r & r out in nature , and the house and cottage were from a storybook! I was in awe the minute I drove up. It was gorgeous, super cozy, huge, and unforgettable. Christine is really welcoming and warm. I'd love to come back any chance I get!

  • Me, my boyfriend and dog stayed in Christine's beautiful house for two nights during Thanksgiving.
We experienced affordable pricing, a lovely hostess, and a gorgeous pet-friendly house with big yard. We were greeted with a glass of wine, nice introduction and relaxed conversation.

There is a fire-heated hot tub for two, which we didn't try out, but it looked clean and inviting.

The room is small, but cozy - the bathroom is shared with other guests that stay in Christine's cottage. If you're fine with that, this is the place for you. Location is beautiful, and convenient if you have a car to explore the gorgeous surrounding redwoods - I walked my dog on the street once which was ok (not much traffic), but it's mostly private roads without official hiking trails in walking distance.

It was clean, but not hotel-standard clean - cats are in the other rooms, and there were some dust-bunnies under the bed - again, nothing to worry about, but if you're allergic, this is not the place for you.

All in all, we were very happy here and enjoyed our stay for two nights. Thank you, Christine!

  • AMAZING!! Best week ever! We had a wonderful time at Christine's house. It is such a nice place, relaxing and with very great energy. Perfect for us, as we had to work a lot at home. And the hot tub in the evening was perfect to relax.
Christine was a fantastic host and from the first moment on she made us feel like at home.
Her two sweet cats were great too. They stayed with us all the time while we were working. :)
Thank you Christine for this wonderful week.

  • I want to live here, lol. Christine has created a beautiful, peaceful space. She made the logistics of staying there easy, relaxed. I was completely comfortable.

I was attending a few events in Santa Cruz and I had looked for lodging there first but nothing that I wanted was available - this was, and I'm so glad now that nothing in S.C. had been available! I could have hung out at Christine's house the entire time - a real escape. I hope to return.

I am an over employed PA in love with the country life. The property is a rambling half acre of flowers, vegetable gardens an fruit trees in the hilly setting of South Santa Cruz County. Large sunny decks flank the main house and invite guests outside to enjoy morning coffee and the New York Times. The house has a small downstairs bedroom with private bath. There is also a much larger private suite of rooms upstairs (that is not listed). The guest cottage is under the trees at the bottom of the rose garden. It has a small kitchenette and shares the downstairs bathroom in the main house. Both the bedroom and the cottage have queen sized futons. The cottage sleeping loft is a short ladder climb up. Either space would be perfect for a couple. We can accommodate up to three couples, with children. Well behaved dogs are also welcome and guests are encouraged to cook in the main house in the French country-style kitchen with oak floors and an antique gas stove . The outdoor spaces offer benches and tables to sit, read and even eat out doors. And the wood fired hot tub is quite popular. I especially love soaking under the stars....
