  • Christine was wonderful! She was very easy to communicate with and was there to great us when we arrived at her home. The living space was exactly what we were hoping it would be. We were able to cook our meals and have a comfortable place to sleep. It was perfect for our dog, who needed space to run around. The neighborhood was quiet. Her gardens were beautiful.

  • We could not have had a better host, Christine made our stay most comfortable and actually gave us more personal space than we needed. The home was very comfortable and I really love her eclectic tastes. We will return and bring the pooch next time.

    Thanks for a perfect time!

  • We had a great time staying at Christine's lovely home. Her garden was so peaceful, and it was nice just enjoying her wrap around porch in the sun. Christine was very flexible with check-in and check-out times.

  • My wife and I stayed with Christine over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was wonderful. We
brought our cat with us, which was a first for us, and it couldn’t have been better. Her cats were
really friendly and we had some fun playing with them, which didn’t make our cat too happy, but
that’s another story. The house is so comfortable we felt at home right away. We stayed in the
small bedroom, which has an adjacent bathroom. Our last night there, we shared the bathroom
with a couple staying in the cottage and it worked out fine. Christine was warm and welcoming
and her open heart and spirit lights the whole place. We are both grateful for the experience and
highly recommend Christine and her home.

  • I stayed with Christine for 8 nights total. I was visiting my sister in the area who has a very small place, so I wanted a place to lay my head at night as to not crowd my sis. Christine's setup was perfect. There was ample parking, access to my room in the house was convenient, and there was an attached bathroom for my use. The bed was a bit lumpy, but once I removed the feather top thingy on the second night, I slept very well. One of her two very friendly cats kept me company at night as well. Christine is very busy and we only saw eachother once, at which time we had a very nice visit. She is about as welcoming as they come, and gave me full run of the downstairs/ kitchen area as I needed. I have no complaints at all and would definitely stay with Christine again. Don't hesitate to stay here, it was a more than positive experience. Thanks Christine:)

  • When we saw a picture of the house of Christine on internet, we said immediatly : Yes , that seems a house to our heart. And it was !!!!!
How it is situated, the way to the house, the atmosphere, the garden, the style of furniture and oh, all the books, it was if we came home !!
Christine is a special woman. We had a special contact.
What a hospitality and she is so kind !!
Christine said : Feel free in my home.
    We felt absolutely ourselves.
We talked about our lifes, and lifes of all people : people must have respect to each other in every connection.
We enjoyed the house of Cristine and the contact with her so very much.
It shall always keep a place in our hearts.
Thank you Christine, for a couple of days in "paradise " !!!

  • Christine's small room has everything you need for a fabulous stay. It has a closet, dresser, desk, night table and double bed. The whole house is charming with a fully stocked kitchen, lovely living room and great outside spaces. I spent much time on the comfortable outside couch on the deck, sometimes seeing the hang gliders over the trees. This is a wonderful, quiet place to stay in the country near Santa Cruz. Christine is extremely helpful and interesting. She's the perfect hostess.

  • You get such a warm welcome from Christine that you feel like you're stopping in to visit a long lost relative. The room is comfortable, quiet and the house is very cozy and nestled in to the hills. The hot tub outside is a real plus as is the wood stove. The location was excellent for hiking & biking trails and quick day trips to Santa Cruz, Carmel and Big Sur. I really had a great time.

About
I am an over employed PA in love with the country life. The property is a rambling half acre of flowers, vegetable gardens an fruit trees in the hilly setting of South Santa Cruz County. Large sunny decks flank the main house and invite guests outside to enjoy morning coffee and the New York Times. The house has a small downstairs bedroom with private bath. There is also a much larger private suite of rooms upstairs (that is not listed). The guest cottage is under the trees at the bottom of the rose garden. It has a small kitchenette and shares the downstairs bathroom in the main house. Both the bedroom and the cottage have queen sized futons. The cottage sleeping loft is a short ladder climb up. Either space would be perfect for a couple. We can accommodate up to three couples, with children. Well behaved dogs are also welcome and guests are encouraged to cook in the main house in the French country-style kitchen with oak floors and an antique gas stove . The outdoor spaces offer benches and tables to sit, read and even eat out doors. And the wood fired hot tub is quite popular. I especially love soaking under the stars....
