Pros:

Cons:
- Historic building with original windows — gets cold on the coldest winter nights. Space heaters, baseboard, and gas fireplace (with timer) are all here, plus extra blankets, but plan to dress warm Dec–Feb.
- 3rd floor, no elevator — all access is via stairs. Plan accordingly for heavy gear, mobility limits, or small kids.

Building & access:
- 3rd floor, no elevator — stairs only. Plan for heavy gear and small children accordingly.
- Historic building with original windows — gets cold on the coldest winter nights. Space heaters, baseboard heat, wall heaters, and extra blankets are all provided. Dress warm Dec–Feb.
- Parents: baseboard heaters can get hot — supervise small children near them.
HOA rules (Old St. Vincent's):
- Not pet-friendly
- Smoke-free building, including balconies, stairwells, and entryways
- 2 vehicles per unit — additional cars on the street
- No RVs, boats, or trailer campers in the lot
Altitude: Leadville is 10,152 ft. Altitude sickness is real — symptoms include headache, dizziness, and nausea, usually in the first 24 hours. Hydrate aggressively, take it easy on day one, and consider travel insurance if you're prone. We can't refund stays due to altitude.
Wildlife: Mountain town — you may occasionally see small critters in or around the building. We pest-manage actively, but please keep windows and doors closed.
