We had a very nice stay at Markus' apartment. It's on a very quiet street with a small grocery store literally around the corner (open until midnight 6 nights a week!) and Danziger St. two blocks away. Both the M10 and M4 tram lines are within a 5-minute walk. Crossing Danziger St. takes you to a neighborhood with small cafes, shops and little restaurants.
The apartment itself is spacious, with two nice bedrooms, a huge bathroom and a guest toilet. Had the weather been nicer, we would have enjoyed eating outside on the deck. Markus was very accommodating, providing us with a bed and highchair for our 2-year-old.
The only minus is that it's a bit of a walk to the heart of Prenzlauerberg. We were expecting to be closer to restaurants and cafes than we were.
