Welcome to Bear Canyon Den — your cozy, stylish escape in the heart of Moonridge! This beautiful one-story cabin invites you (and your pups!) to relax, recharge, and explore.

Inside, the main living area features gorgeous wood-vaulted ceilings and an open-concept design that flows into the fully renovated kitchen. Snuggle up by the gas fireplace on the comfy couch with cozy blankets, dive into a good book in the sitting nook, or challenge your crew to a round of our family's favorite game, Boss-Toss! (Seriously, you have to try it!) You'll also find baskets of classic board games, a large 60” Smart TV with pre-loaded apps, and high-speed WiFi to keep you connected.

The chef’s kitchen is stocked with everything you need to whip up a feast: crock-pot, blender, excellent knives, tons of bakeware, spices, oils, and a Keurig Coffee, Latte & Cappuccino maker (coffee included, of course!). Dine at the spacious kitchen island or take your meals outside on the patio to dine under the twinkle lights.

The serene master bedroom features a king-size bed with a luxury mattress, cozy linens, down pillows, a Smart TV, a sound machine, a spacious closet, and forest views that will make you want to linger. The second bedroom offers a fun queen-over-queen bunk bed setup — with a plush memory foam mattress on the bottom — along with a full washer/dryer, a TV, a writing desk, and a comfy chair for remote work or creative mornings.

Enjoy the outdoors with a gas BBQ, multiple seating areas, a six-person jacuzzi under the stars, twinkle lights above, and plenty of space to roam. Your dogs will love exploring the large lot (leashed, per Big Bear rules), and you’ll love relaxing while the towering pines sway overhead.

Bear Canyon Den offers parking for two vehicles, sleds for backyard sledding, and a trailhead to the national forest right outside the front door — perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and snowy adventures. We’re just five minutes to Bear Mountain, 10 minutes to Snow Summit, Big Bear Lake, and The Village!

At 900 square feet, Bear Canyon Den is light, bright, stylish, and filled with all the thoughtful touches that make it a true Big Bear favorite. Whether you’re stargazing from the hot tub, sipping morning coffee on the deck, or cuddling up by the fire with your pups at your feet, unforgettable memories await year-round. 🌲🐾✨

🏡 Bear Canyon Den House Rules + Good Neighbor Policy
Big Bear Lake has important short-term rental regulations. All guests must sign our "Good Neighbor Policy" prior to arrival. Key rules include:

1.) Occupancy Limit: Maximum of 4 adults allowed at Bear Canyon Den.
2.) Parking: Maximum of 2 cars; no street or yard parking permitted.
3.) Music: No amplified music outdoors at any time (24/7).
4.) Quiet Hours: No outdoor spa use or noisy activities between 10:00 PM–7:00 AM.
5.) Pets:
Up to 2 well-behaved dogs allowed.
Dogs must be on a leash outside at all times (city ordinance). No excessive barking. Big Bear enforces strict noise regulations, and fines may be passed along to guests if violations occur. Dogs must not be left unattended unless crated. Owners must pick up after their dogs immediately. If our cleaners find pet waste, a $50 clean-up fee will apply.
6.) Trash:
Trash may not be stored outside. All trash must be taken upon checkout to one of the following local dumpsites:

39690 Big Bear Blvd, Big Bear Lake
Failure to remove trash will result in a $50 fine.

🚭 No smoking of any kind inside or outside the cabin.
🐶 We welcome dogs only. No cats or other animals permitted due to host allergies.
👨‍👩‍👧 Maximum occupancy strictly enforced (4 guests).

We are located in the beautiful Moonridge neighborhood in the mountains. While we have strong WiFi, mountain weather can cause interruptions beyond our control. Thank you for understanding!

Neighborhood highlights

We are located in Moonridge a popular but very quiet neighborhood in Big Bear Lake. One of our favorite nightly activities is to grab a glass of wine and walk around our neighborhood and look at all of the beautiful cabins. You hardly see two cabins alike! We are also 1 block from the entrance to the National Forest trailhead. This is a 'great' trail for hiking, mountain biking and in the season without snow you can off-road this trail which is so fun!

Hello! We are Matt & Jenn from Carlsbad, CA. We combined our love of the outdoors, along with our passion for interior design and purchased our first vacation rental in Big Bear Lake! This journey has been so much fun and we have really enjoyed renting our little cabin in the woods out to wonderful travelers like you...:) We fell in love with Big Bear as it fits all of our outdoor needs. From skiing in the winter, boating in the summer, all year long hikes, mountain biking & off roading trails galore, there truly is so much to do! You can be as active as you want, or you can just cozy up and relax by the fireplace, hot tub or a leisurely stroll in Big Bear Village. Either way this mountain town always was the perfect fit for us which is why we could not wait to own a second home here! Now we get to share that with you and we are so happy to host you!
