LimeGuestHouse is the best guesthouse I've ever been to! A stone throw away from Hongik University Stn, it is always easy to get back after an exciting nights out at Hongdae Club Street. A convenience store and various restaurants are also within 5min walk so you don't have to worry about food. It might seem a bit secluded but it is just a quiet neighbourhood and the buses are well within reach. Bus service number 7016 even leads to City Hall station!
The accommodation is cozy, with a heater in winter. Guests have to share two bathrooms with only one toilet having a toilet bowl so it might post some inconvenience. Since it's give and take I woke up earlier so as to avoid the morning rush. However, what really warms my heart is the sincerity of the hosts as they are there to lend a helping hand whenever you need it. Do not be afraid to approach them for help!
One thing that sells about the hostel is the interaction with guests. If you travel during the peak period (November - December), you can be sure to meet interesting characters with very different experience from yourself! This is definitely more valuable than the sightseeing you take away from the trip itself. I got to meet this interesting guy from the UK and i look forward to him coming Singapore soon :D
Overall, LimeGuestHouse is a cosy place to live in and if i ever go back, i will definitely stay in LimeGuestHouse again :D
I had an awesome time here!
The location is perfect. It's a 8 minute bus ride from Hongik University Station, and bus to subway is free transfer. Hongik University is also on the subway line that connects to both airports, so it's an easy easy trip to get from the airport to the guest house.
They provide free toast and coffee. The rooms are large, not squishy, and it's very comfortable. The guest house hosts live in an apartment room 1 floor above, so they are there to help you whenever you need it. They are also really nice and treat you well.
The area itself is one of the most liveliest in Seoul. It is an area full of university students throughout the night. It has tons of places to eat and relax, many people to eat, and most university students are educated in a good amount of English. There are also lots of foreigners there too.
A++, if you are going to Seoul and you are in your 20's then this is the place to stay.
