A beautiful studio with private bath and deck, themed after Denver's famous Botanic Gardens. Most of my guests are visiting family members who live within walking distance. It's a comfortable, independent home base just minutes from the people you came to see. Bright, quiet, and close to Cheesman Park, Botanic Gardens, restaurants and shopping. As an Airbnb Superhost I take pride in offering a clean comfortable unit.

The space
The apartment has plenty of natural light and a private back deck — a quiet spot for morning coffee, with chairs and a table.
The studio includes a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, and coffee maker (and coffee), plus high-speed WiFi.
You're in one of Denver's most charming older neighborhoods — tree-lined streets, historic homes, and an easy walk to Cheesman Park and the Botanic Gardens. The area offers a great selection of restaurants within a short walk, from casual WiFi cafés and bakeries to sit-down spots serving Italian, Mexican, sushi, Asian and farm-to-table American. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Starbucks are all close by, as are several major medical centers.
The Victorian home itself was built in 1896 and converted into apartments in the 1920s. It retains many original features — stained and leaded glass windows and rich original woodwork — while being thoughtfully updated with central heat and air, a winter humidifier, and ample USB outlets. The apartment is on the second floor. Please note the home is charming but historic: it's a walk-up and is not wheelchair accessible.

Guest access

Neighborhood highlights

The house is located in a quiet, very chilled, peaceful area of Capitol Hill.
There is a Whole Foods (Ideal Market) on 11th and Emerson - two blocks away, and two super markets (King Sooper and Safeway) also 2-3 blocks away. Cheesman park is a few minutes walk east. The Denver Botanic Garden is next to Cheesman Park. A dispensary is located on 6th, three blocks away, close to a group of restaurants.

There’s good cycling in the area. The Cherry Creek trail is nearby and that runs 3 miles to downtown along the river, and ends where the creek meets the Platte River (at the REI store). In the other direction the Cherry Creek trail runs about 10 miles to the Reservoir / park, which has swimming and a beach. The trail is for cyclists and pedestrians- no cars and as the water is cold, it’s usually a pleasant ride on a hot day.
For nearby hiking trails a car is recommended. Walking to Cheesman park and around it and back is about 1.5 to 2 miles.

(From Wikipedia) Capitol Hill is one of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods in Denver, well known as a haven for artists and bohemians. There are numerous restaurants, clubs, bars, stores, concert venues, and other cultural amenities in the community. East 13th Avenue is the center of Denver's punk community with various stores that cater to punks and hipsters. Colfax Avenue has a reputation for a wild nightlife with multiple concert venues (The Fillmore Auditorium, The Ogden Theater, The Bluebird Theater, 1Up Colfax), and numerous late-night bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and stores on the street. During the day, lobbyists and politicians from the Colorado State Capitol can be seen making deals in the restaurants and bars of the neighborhood. The neighborhood also has a reputation for being a very gay and lesbian friendly area of Denver.

Capitol Hill is next to two major Denver parks, Civic Center Park and Cheesman Park. Both of these are meeting centers for the community; they host many festivals, including the Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods-sponsored People's Fair in early June.

Capitol Hill has had a long bohemian reputation with the Colburn Hotel on Grant Street being a onetime residence of Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.
