Interaction with Guests
Mornings at breakfast or evenings are best times to talk story with hosts, farm workers and other guests. We get busy with farm work and running errands for farm, but do our best to be available as time permits.
We are right off the highway in Captain Cook in the Kona Coffee Belt with nearby eateries and grocery store. We have beautiful views of the coastline and sunset from the farm. The famed City of Refuge/Honaunau National Park and Two Step (famous snorkeling spot) are just 10 minute drive.
There is a public bus, but only runs near the farm in the morning. Buses run periodically throughout the day from bus stop across from Manago Hotel which is 2 miles away. We recommend a rental car when staying at our farm.
Other Things to Note
Check ins on Sundays is after 4:00pm. All other days after 1:00 pm. However, we try our best to be flexible for earlier checkins on request when possible.
This is a working farm first. quiet time from 10:00 pm - 6:00 am. Our workers sometimes get started at 7am with a fair amount of noise. And during harvest season (fall & winter), several pickers congregate as early as 7am. So, our place is more suited to early risers, which is our typical guest. If you are a late sleeper and disturbed by early morning noise, this may not be the best place for you. Guests are welcome to come and go as they please. We just ask everyone to be respectful of others on the farm during quiet time.
We require a 2 night minimum. The best time to checkin is in the afternoon before it gets dark. We are difficult to find at night, since there are no street lights and most landmarks are not visible in the dark. Checkins are usually from 1pm-5pm and we appreciate knowing what time to expect you. Checkins at any other time is by appt only. The latest check in allowed is 10pm - as the saying goes...early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
Quiet time/lights out 10 pm - 6 am.

Bebo was a very friendly host! Full of good recommendations and nice company. Stay here if you like animals, coffee and a very cool farm.
Only thing really missing was a key to the room (although that seemed to be a temporary problem).
Bebo and his family are really nice people and we enjoyed our stay at the coffee farm! The place is close to the road and thus the beaches, but outside Kona so car is needed. The coffee farm is very naturalistic and we really liked that, but if you have trouble sleeping with rainforest sound there could be an issue. The farm also wakes up early, but to our taste that was not an issue. Bebo kindly lent us snorkling gear which enables really amazing experiences in the nearby bays (go to two step)! There are nice dogs and a cat and ducks on the farm, and they also hung out with us in the outdoor kitchen, which we liked. On the farm we were allowed to walk around among the fruit trees and find fresh fruit that had fallen, really nice! Over all, we would recommend to stay with Bebo and his family!
We enjoyed our stay at Bebo's!! He and his family were great hosts! Bebo shared with us his passion for coffee farming and generously answered all our questions on the subject. After two nights, we now want to buy a kona coffee farm ;-)
Bebo's coffee farm is a pleasant and comfortable getaway from the city Kona, but yet it is conveniently located just along the highway. The always smiling Bebo made us feel at home and even went out of his way to help me send my misplaced belongings out of the Big Island (despite his busy farming schedule). The two dogs (Java and Possie) and the cat (Buddy) are amazingly lovely. I am not big on drinking coffee but I really enjoyed Bebo's. The only room of improvement is the homemade pumpkin bread - not enough cos' it is too good !!!
This place si very well located to explore the western coast. The coffee plantation is beautiful.
Bebo, Karen and son Tommy took us in like family. They fully shared their home and life. We especially appreciated the benefit of using their snorkeling gear (we went 5 times!) and ability to eat fresh fruit. Our room was cozy but sufficient in size for my husband son and myself. We were adjacent to an open air kitchen which was a gathering place. Where the farm was located was my favorite part of the big island since it was lush with vegetation yet excellent clear weather. Plenty of places to get food and groceries nearby. Sunday's farmers market was great and so was the 1pm tour at the ethnobotanical garden (daily).
But it was the hospitality of Bebo, Karen, and Tommy that made the trip for us. They were always interested in what we were up to and willing to give us useful tips on what to do. They enjoy their life in paradise and enjoy sharing it with visitors.
Great coffee too!
Bebo and his family were an absolute delight! They made us feel very welcome and gave us recommendations on where to eat, what to see and where to go. The farm is in a beautiful setting and the animals were adorable. We only wish we had stayed longer!
