Now for the attractions......There are regular beach side craft/food markets held on the 4th Sunday of the month and farmers markets on the 1st Sunday of the month. Our fantastic Avoca Beach is on your doorstep with just a 200 metre walk to the sand.

The house overlooks the sparkling ocean and HMAS Adelaide dive site with dive tours available locally but must be booked in advance (please enquire early to avoid disappointment). Avoca has great surfing, swimming and paddle boat/canoeing activities on the lake on weekends and thru the week in holiday season.

The famous Avoca Beach Picture Theatre is a short stroll away with its ecclectic offering of current releases, foreign language, surf/ski/adventure films as well as live musical performances and the exclusive live opera from the "New York Met" (see (website hidden) for programme details and future realeases).

Eating out and shopping are well catered for in the "village" with 6 cafes, mini market, delicatessen as well as chemist, video store, bottle shop, "Ludo's" award winning french bakery, Post office, 2 ATMs and 5 restaurants all within minutes walk. Of course the Avoca hotel and Avoca Beach bowling club are only a short drive away.

Mojito Joes on the beachfront is just a stroll from the house and features cocktails, music and Tapas dining most nights of the week. Rojo Rocket is the lively local mexican bar and restaurant and famous "Lizottes" is a kilometre away for all your live music...check their web page for upcoming events and make sure you book your favourite performer...they ALL come to "Lizottes"

We are happy to arrange pick up from Woy Woy or Gosford railway stations for any travellers coming via the scenic 1 1/4 hour rail trip from Sydneys' Central station.
We can arrange surfboard, boogey board hire and have umbrella and beach chairs available free of charge. In addition, we have a beautiful in ground saltwater pool with relaxing sun lounges.

Breakfasts are available at any of the local cafes or you can make/bring your own or we can provide by prior agreement .

  • We loved our visit with Paul & Sue, we felt so welcome and as if we were part of the household. Thank you for being so welcoming and we will definitely be back... I'm still dreaming of those Anzac cookies!

  • I highly recommend this place. Paul and Sue couldn't do any more to be helpful and make us welcome. And the house is wonderfully appointed, very spacious and has a great outlook over the ocean. If They will allow you to directly book a second bedroom as well if you book the AirBnB room - may be helpful if you have more than two. Very highly recommended and we will be going back.

  • Sue and Paul are ideal hosts. Interesting, intelligent, attentive, they are committed to ensuring every guest has a wonderful visit. The accommodation is sumptuous, with enchanting views from the deck and the most comfortable bed and furnishings. The location is perfect for exploring the local beaches and walking in the nearby Bouddi National Park. Highly recommended.

  • My partner and I had a great weekend at Paul and Sue's place. This was our first trip using Airbnb and it could not have gone better. Paul and Sue were friendly and hospitable hosts. A truly amazing house, with a truly amazing view. We would definitely love to go back and will recommend it highly to family and friends.

Thank you so much Paul and Sue for sharing your home with us!

  • Paul & Sue were an absolute delight to stay with. Their home is amazing and were so hospitable the entire time. It was everything I was looking for and nothing I wasn't. Can't wait to get back there soak up their amazing home again.

  • Paul and Sue were amazing hosts! They were extremely welcoming and genuine, we felt at home from the moment we met them. It felt like we were visiting long lost friends not someone we only just met.

Avoca is also a great place to visit. The house is only a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants (They were also really helpful in helping me pick a restaurant for the night!!). I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a weekend away to head to Avoca where the locals are friendly, and both Paul and Sue will treat you like long lost friends. The house is beautiful, spacious and the view from the balcony is stunning. You are also left to have the entire top floor to your self.

We had a great weekend away, relaxed and really enjoyed the house, beaches and the genuine hospitality that we were shown. Not only did we have a great weekend, we have left with new friends that we will surely be back to visit on another weekend getaway. Hands down beats staying in a hotel!

  • We enjoyed one of the most relaxing and enjoyable weekends we have had in a Long time. The house is ideally located with stunning ocean views and only a short walk to the beach, bars, cafes and restaurants . Its spacious interior is tastefully decorated to a high quality that is both comfortable and elegant. One of the highlights, though, where the hosts Paul and Sue.

Two incredibly delightful people who where hospitable and thoughtful down to the small details. Even though they ensured we had privacy at all times we thoroughly enjoyed chatting and spending time getting to know them. We highly recommend anyone considering visiting this area to stay here, it's 5 stars from us and we look forward to returning again soon!

  • We could not have asked for a better introduction to AirBnB!

Paul and Sue welcomed us in to their beautiful home for what would be a very relaxing couple of days away from the city.

Their home and the areas made available to us were as stunning as the photos depicted. Pure luxury!

Paul and Sue were attentive and welcoming hosts who put us at ease the second we walked through the door. We arrived strangers but left feeling as if we had been visiting friends.

I would recommend to anyone to stay at this fantastic beach side home.

I look forward to having the chance to return!

  • Amazing place to stay. Amazing house - spacious and beautifully designed overlooking the beautiful Avoca beach. Amazing hosts - great company and fantastic cooks. Amazing location - a short walk from the beach. I couldn't recommend this place more.

  • Paul and Sue have an amazingly beautiful home and both are extremely welcoming and hospitable hosts. When we walked in and took in the view, we were blown away – a huge expanse of glass looking out over the ocean at the front of the house and views of the lake and trees from the rear. Our bedroom and en-suite bathroom were beautifully made up and the whole house was immaculate.
We stayed for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and Paul and Sue spoiled us throughout with their thoughtfulness and generosity – nothing was too much trouble. Paul was kind enough to chauffeur us and Sue cooked a beautiful breakfast. We passed a lovely morning in conversation and enjoyed a game of pool, lounging by the pool and a swim in the sea. When out and about, we visited the Bamboo Buddha (very tranquil) and ate a wonderful dinner at Flair (degustation highly recommended).
I don’t really have enough words to sum up what a great experience it was; I don’t imagine you could find a better place to stay or better hosts to stay with. We will recommend this place to our friends and would return in a heartbeat!
