The space

A beautiful, bright, and spacious San Francisco studio apartment, located in the Richmond district, is available for short term rental. It's a perfect size for a single traveler, a couple, or a small family who are looking for more budget accommodations in this expensive city.

The apartment was completely renovated in 2006 and everything is in superb condition. The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and electric kettle, perfect for having simple breakfasts at home before starting your day of sightseeing. Please be aware that the kitchen does not have a stove top range or full sized oven. The bathroom is very large and clean and has a shower over the bathtub. There is a comfortable queen-sized bed that sleeps 2, as well as a sofa bed, which can accommodate another 2 guests. This set up is more suitable for a family rather than 2 couples, however, as there is no separation between the sleeping areas.

Guest access

The entire apartment is for your sole use.

Interaction with guests

I am a lifelong San Francisco resident and am happy to act as a resource for my guests whether it be restaurant tips or sightseeing information. I love to travel and meet people from all over the world, and am excited to share my city with new people. I am typically available for any questions and issues that may arise during your stay. I live in the apartment above the rental.

Other things to note

Potential renters should be aware that noise from the apartment above (mainly footsteps starting from 7am) may disturb light or late morning sleepers. We are happy to provide earplugs and/or a white noise machine to mitigate the issue, however if you are looking to sleep in on your vacation or want to spend all day in a quiet sanctuary, this may not be the ideal rental for you.

Great stay for my parents. Super clean and located near some great restaurants. Vivian is an excellent host and very detailed. Highly recommend.

Vivian's place was awesome. Steps from major bus lines. Bed was comfy, she even provides a sound machine. When I booked, she was upfront about her children playing upstairs, to be honest (and I was there to take a test and had to study) it wasn't an issue at all. I had a great stay.

Vivian's apartment was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in San Francisco! I highly recommend her place to anyone visiting the city who wants to stay at a central location. My friends and I attended Outside Lands music festival and the location of her place was perfect. The bed/pull out sofa was very comfortable and the space fit our needs. The family living upstairs was a little noisy in terms of a child running around, but we didn't find it to be a bother whatsoever. Thanks again, Vivian, for an excellent stay!

My boyfriend and I had the best time in San Francisco and really enjoyed our stay in Vivian's studio. Her place is clean, and we were providing with everything we needed. I give this place a 5 out of 5!

Perfect for our needs! We chose this house because it was in the same neighborhood as family. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance. The unit was clean and comfortable. The bed was really nice and Vivian adds a nice topper to the sleeper sofa for extra comfort there. We weren't looking for a place to hang and eat. If you just want to sleep and be comfortable this is the place. One warning...parking is really difficult! It is a busy neighborhood and finding parking is super challenging.

Vivian was a great host. She greeted us and even provided us with an orientation to the apartment along with a booklet she made up with local restaurants, shops, things to do, etc. There is even a map on the wall with color coded pins on points of interest. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. Vivian even loaned us a pack n play for our 6 month old to sleep. She is very accommodating, flexible, and accessible. It's an apartment so you can sometimes hear the other families. But we get up early and spent most of our days out and about so the noise didn't really effect us at all. It was always quiet at night. Thanks for a great stay!
