I typically check people in and then I am available to answer questions or help out if I can anytime.
If people show that they want to interact I am happy to do so, if they don't want to interact I leave them alone.
Quintessential California Beach Community.
Gentrification and real estate values have changed most of Southern California's beach towns in one way or the other. The 'Mesa' is the name of this area of Santa Barbara, it's got a great vibe with smaller cottages and mid sized homes but very few Mc Mansions.. They neighbors won't stand for it so it remains as quaint as ever (except for the prices for the little cottages)..We have some of the most pristine beaches in the City of Santa Barbara here, Organic Produce stand, convenient shopping centers and restaurants.. Off leash Beach and Open Space/ Nature Preserve both in short walking distance..
Bus stop nearby about 5 min walk in a safe area. Goes downtown or to UCSB
This is a hidden gem, SEE MY REVIEWS PLEASE!! THANK YOU!!

My husband, 3 month old baby and I stayed at Casa Sevilla for 3 nights and it was incredibly relaxing. The space is clean, well designed, comfortable, homey! Josh was very accommodating, easy to reach, yet also gave us a ton of privacy- it felt like we had the property all to our selves. And the nature preserve, which is a 5 minute walk away is gorgeous- we were able to watch a beautiful sunset from the cliffs during our walk! The neighborhood is friendly and safe- it inspired us to want to move there from our home in Brooklyn!!!
Josh was such a gracious host--giving us ideas of what to do in the area prior to our trip (which we did and had a blast--Stagecoach wine tours and massages at the Salt Caves in SB) and checking on us while we were visiting to ensure we felt at home.
Cozy, quiet property that was perfect for two---thanks for a great first experience to SB Josh!
Loved being so close to the beach and park, which made for a great afternoon stroll for whale watching. The casa has everything you will need for a relaxing stay. Thanks for the warm welcome!
Had an awesome time! The wife and I had the most relaxing time! It was a true get away and we both felt right at home. The rental was clean and great for a couple. We look forward to future stays and only hope and pray the weather will be more accomodable next time around.
We had a really great experience here. Josh was available, but scarce. The apartment was clean & comfortable & private with ample amenities. The neighborhood is beautiful & quiet. We appreciated the small private garden. The bed was firm, but comfortable & we slept really well, which is sometimes difficult in a strange place.
1,000 steps beach is very near by & was absolutely breathtaking. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our weekend was near perfect & it was very hard to leave & go back to real life. Thank Josh!
Nice and comfy place in a great neighborhood and area. Love the modern details... smooth walls, full kitchen, corrugated siding, and walk-in shower. Clean and comfy. Joshua left some fruit and bottled water for us. Coffee, too, but we brought our own. He was very personable and friendly. Excellent host. Saw whales & dolphins, did lots of walking in the Douglas preserve, and had some nice afternoon naps.
About the Host, Joshua
Hi I am Josh, I am 40 years old, grew up in Los Angeles County and moved to SB for college, and never left. I love Santa Barbara and all it has to offer... Hosting through Airbnb has allowed me to meet some wonderful people that I hope to see again as return guests and old friends.. I try to be the best person I can be for myself, my community, my family and humanity at large by making good decisions and being aware of others needs.. I think this lends well to hosting and I am sure you will find your stay at Casa Sevilla a pleasant one. Cheers!
