The space
Enjoy the first level of our 3 story home in downtown SLO. While this home has every detail of it's history intact, it's all been perfectly restored and every modern comfort is in place.

Enter through a sitting room equipped with a couch, 2 chairs, and a large smart TV.

Enjoy 2 bedrooms, each with queen beds. 2 bathrooms, one with a tub/shower and one with a walk in shower.

The kitchen & dining room has everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal, enjoy your morning coffee or tea, sit around a dining table for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even curl up on a comfy couch.

The apartment is very spacious. Each bedroom has abundant privacy away from the others in your group, and each bedroom is nestled next to a bathroom. The bedrooms have their own thermostats for personalized climate control. Each bedroom is also equipped with a desk for remote workers. Our internet speed is 327 Mbps.

As mentioned, this apartment is the first floor of our 3 story home. There are footsteps and occasional muffled voices that could be heard from the apartment, but truly not disruptive.

There is no onsite laundry available while here, but we have provided details for send out laundry service in our Welcome Book.

The entire first floor is yours while you are our guest. *Guest’s kids 13+ only*
There are a couple of locked doors that house our hosting essentials, but that will not impact your stay in the least.

Please also feel free to enjoy your private patio and sitting area just outside your apartment.

We reside in the home upstairs. Please stay to the RIGHT when you enter the yard through the black gate on the corner of Islay & Beach Street.

Other things to note
This apartment is on the first floor of our 3-story home. While the home has been beautifully restored, you may occasionally hear footsteps or muffled voices from our space above.

Please remember, Islay Manor accepts children 13 years of age and older only.

There is no on-site laundry available. Our Welcome Book provides details for a convenient send-out laundry service.

For your safety and ours, exterior security cameras are located on the property.

Claudia and Jon are a couple deeply rooted in culture. They met in Oaxaca 30 years ago while Jon was studying Spanish in Oaxaca to help with his 3rd grade students. After moving to the U.S., Claudia has remained connected to her heritage through active involvement in community events. Their love for hospitality is a family tradition, as both come from backgrounds in the B&B industry. Claudia's family continues to run a delightful B&B in Oaxaca.
