The Space

Unique, tastefully renovated 2,000 square foot loft with breathtaking 1,000 square foot outdoor deck. Airconditioning throughout the space!!!

Perfect for FILM AND PHOTO SHOOTS. Magic hour on the south facing roof garden is sensational.

Large bedroom with full sized bed, plus a sleeping nook with adult-sized bunk bed. Crib can also be provided. Comfy living room flooded with light with large sofa. Full eat-in kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer. Did I mention the washer and dryer? Outdoor deck is lush with flowers, sun for tanning, shade for breakfast outdoors and later afternoon cocktails. Plenty of room for kids to play as well.

Close to R train (Union Street) and F and G (Carroll Street) subway lines. 10 min ride to Manhattan. Wireless high speed internet, easy street parking. Clean linens and towels provided. Kitchen is fully equipped including gas stove, toaster, coffee maker, etc.

Apartment is by the Gowanus canal on the border to Park Slope and Carroll Gardens. Great shopping and restaurants all around, not to forget beautiful Prospect Park and its farmers market, Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden. There is so much to do close by you might not even make it to Manhattan!

Also, works well for wedding receptions or other events inside and out. Please ask for rates.

Please also check out our other adjacent property which sleeps 2. If you are looking for accommodations for a larger group there is the option of renting both spaces.

  • We rented this gorgeous loft for our wedding celebration. It worked out great having a large, open interior plus the garden roof deck. My sister rented the little connected apartment, which was a real bonus to have her be able to stay nearby and the extra bathroom was essential during the party. The only downside of the space is that it is on the 3rd floor so everything needed to be hauled up --and then back down. When the mechanic downstairs is closed (nights and weekends) it is very quiet. We had a lovely weekend at Ute's loft.

  • Ute's place is huge, with room for table seating for 30 or so indoors. It's also beautiful.

  • We had a company off-site day at Ute's loft in Gowanus. The setup could not have been more perfect for us and Ute was a pleasure to deal with. The space is amazing, really huge and open plus there's a really large outdoor area if you're lucky enough to be staying there with good weather. I'd highly recommend the space for something similar or overnight since the whole apartment was great.

  • Ute's loft (email hidden) for hosting a homely and inviting yoga retreat/training. It (email hidden) to call home for the week too. The roof deck is lovely and warm - a perfect sun trap. And the whole space, even though it's large, feels cosy and very comfortable. The area is great too. A short stroll away and you are in the very cool Carroll Gardens neighbourhood with all of it's fab restaurants and bars. Everything was clear and easy with (email hidden). We would love to come back next year and run another yoga training - it worked perfectly for us! Thank you Ute!! J x

  • We had a great stay at Ute's place. Her loft is really nice, just as advertised, and the neighborhood has everything. Ute is easy to communicate with. Third Avenue is really happening now.

  • We had a great time in Ute's loft. She was very easy to deal with. The space itself was great. It is located in a gritty up and coming part of Brooklyn. Lots of nearby bars, restaurants and shops. We especially liked the vintage store just a block away. There is a brand new whole foods less than a mile away. The subways Are also very convenient. We went to manhattan every day of our stay but I could see going back and just exploring Brooklyn. Park slope, Carroll gardens, and downtown Brooklyn Are all right there. Overall we had fantastic time. If you want a true New York experience then this place is for you.

About
I am originally from Germany and moved from Berlin to New York, working here in the arts for over 7 years now. I love the city, and Brooklyn is the best. I moved to Gowanus from Williamsburg for the variety of the different neighborhoods here (elegant residential and old school industrial without the massive crowds).
